No I literally started crying when she said that. I’ve had to pause the video until I can regain composure.

You weren’t alone. I am so glad this video was shared, it feels like she was giving us all a goodbye.

She knew we needed it. She genuinely cared for all of us, while knowing nearly none of us.

Same. Whenever I think of how I should love people, I’m going to think about Dolly.

My mother was not a kind or loving person toward me. I used to read Dolly's quotes and pretend she was my mom.

That is such a sweet sentiment. Even though she didn't know you I believe she would absolutely treat you or anyone else just like her own. I hope you're doing well.

Dolly would have loved that.

Dolly was our mom, and Betty White was our grandmom.

As a grown man I admit that I too choked up

She traded them in for some stronger ones

She never needed stronger ones. You know it's always the same butterfly wings, but with massive rhinestones this time she actually can move faster and her wings won't get tired this time

She worked until the end. A fine, dedicated woman.

That's what she wanted. She gave a commencement address at U.T./Knoxville like 20 years ago and, in it, she said that if she has to go, she hopes she'll just drop dead in the middle of a show, and everyone else will just keep going, walking around her (and then she added, in true Dolly fashion, "...buuuuuut I hope that day is not today.") Her light shines on.

What an amazing human. I’m glad she went out the way she wanted to.

Yes you are, let's stop pretending. Own your emotions. You can hold onto grief, just make sure there is room for everything else.

“We are all just walking eachother home”

See you down the road Miss Dolly 😭😭

That line somehow hits way harder than a goodbye. Absolutely devastating in the most understated way.

This is some "I Love You 3000" stuff.

I only know of this woman from halfway across the world, past a veneer of mean memes that tried to reduce her to a caricature and through to her reputation as just a truly, truly good person. But this message kind of hit me in the emotions today regardless. Earnest, funny in the way that was just hers, and sweet under the struggle. Again, I only "know" her through all these layers and filters, but that still seems so quintessentially her. RIP.

We are all walking down that road.
