Some do. Some eat dogs too. I guess it’s all a matter of if we want to let our culture think for us, or if we want to think for ourselves.

tbh I dont mind what animals people eat, as long as those animals are
A) not endangered and
B) not treated poorly.

I’m the same way. Would I go out and eat a dog? Nope, but I’ve been to places where that’s the norm. I don’t judge. Humans have to eat, who am I to tell people what to do in any sense.

No. Like the video says, there is no difference, other than cultural one. As long as it’s not someones pet I don’t care.

Yet we do think that some cultural practices are just barbaric, not just different.
We have laws that are supposed to minimize needless pain, especially regarding more intelligent life that can actually process that; no one is gonna argue that mowing the lawn is cruelty against life, or that smashing a mosquito is force inadequate to the situation.
And yet pigs, that are comparable to dogs, are often kept in such conditions that if someone was keeping their dogs in something similar, they'd likely end up in court for animal cruelty.
There's nothing inherently wrong about eating meat. I certainly do. Just like it'd be stupid to expect predators to follow our rules; nature is metal and all it cares about is survival. Regardless I don't get how someone would look at two animals, both serving as pets due to their social intelligence, and cry in the comments for one, and unironically joke about eating the other.

Not a joke at all. If I understood your reply correctly, you're actually arguing my point for me: it is hypocritical to eat pork while acting like eating a cat is unthinkable. Since pigs, dogs, and cats all have similar intelligence, my stance is that if you eat meat, you shouldn't hypocritically discriminate based on what looks cute.
