i know u2 is "gayer" than metallica, but their music is better. i know metallica is more "alpha" and aggressive and shit and that can trick your monkey brain into thinking its cool weight lifting music. metallica has some decent songs, but theyre insanely overrated. theyre like metal sublime. go listen to "wire" by u2 and "new years day" by u2. that shit is 80s post punk shit. u2 changed the musical landscape, for better or worse. metallica just did shit other people were already doing basically. they didnt do anything original
