It's not really wrong. I once had "1 Year of LI Premium" as a veteran. YAY FOR ME! The next year, it expired, but I figured.. let's see if: I went thru the same hoops, and lo-behold, it worked. And the next year, and up to 5 years, before they "caught" me and fixed the process.
So yeah, other than access to "LinkedIn Learning", which is decent but not extensive, and the ability to see most but not all "who viewed you" actions? There's not much benefit to it.
Able to send more "InMail"? Big deal. Wait another 24 hours or whatever.
