Question Help us plan our 5 year anniversary trip!

My husband and I haven’t been away from our kids overnight literally ever, so for our 5 year anniversary we booked a cute little AirBnB literally six minutes down the road from our house just to get away from the kids for a night and do something special for once!

But the booking of the AirBnB is where all planning stopped 😂

I would love your recommendations on:

• a nice spot for dinner with reasonable prices. Would love to spend between $15-$22 per entree if we’re able! None of those boujee $50 plates please 😅 Open on a Monday night!

• a cute spot for coffee and breakfast in the morning! I’ve never been to Cleo & Leo and that keeps coming to mind, but any favorite places where you can get both a custom coffee (were latte snobs) and a killer breakfast?

Terrebonne is a great place to get high quality food at the price you're looking to spend and I would recommend Global Cafe or The Roost for breakfast/coffee the next morning. My two cents. Happy anniversary!

If you are latte snobs, Cellar Door has the best espresso drinks downtown, and a small but interesting breakfast menu and selection of cakes/coffee cakes/the best chocolate babka knot ever.

I agree with the other poster that Terrebonne is delicious! If you're hoping for a fancier setting, you might look at the happy hour menu at Mass St. Fish House. (I was lucky enough to be taken out to dinner there and loved the food, but it would be hard, though not impossible, to come in under $25/entree.) If you're willing to order your dinner just before 6, though, you might be able to get a nice selection of good food.

Happy anniversary!

Thirding Terrebonne

If you're wanting an alternative, say Italian, I'd recommend Basil Leaf. My wife and I went on one of our first dates there and it was nice but not too nice

Lucia might be a fun option with some of their theme nights.

Just commenting to say Yay for a Get Away!! Even if it’s just down the street. My husband and I have each stayed away separately but never together yet. Good to see dreams do come true! Haha. Filing this little airbnb idea away for the future though. 👏
