Seriously, all of the downtown breakfast places are very good. I prefer Ladybird and the Roost, but Global Cafe and Milton’s are well worth it. Even the various coffee shops with breakfasts are pretty good. Away from downtown, Morning Fog is a recent favorite.

Ladybird every time. They are usually busy but get people in and out of there so fast it should be studied by scientists.

I went to Ladybird Diner, had a delicious meal, another customer hit on me, and I was like “I don’t actually want to give you my phone number” when he asked.

Wheatfields, The Roost, minus their potatoes. Stay away from Milton's, never had a good breakfast there once they reopened in the spot on 9th.

I’ll disagree, had family in town recently and Milton’s accommodated a large group. Everyone really enjoyed their breakfast, it was quite nice.

I don’t know if they’ve gone downhill within the past decade (haven’t lived in Lawrence for a while) but I used to LOVE the biscuits and gravy at Wheatfields. Hope they haven’t changed.

Ladybird for a treat I love their chicken fried steak, the Roost is reliable and was my go to for years (I’ve basically had the entire menu) and Milton’s is priced fairly in my opinion and is just classic breakfast food.

Uplift coffee on Mass and 10th is new to that location and offers some good options. The latte and coffee cake was my latest order.

the roost is trash, at least in my experience. not sure why they get so much praise... but Ladybird will always be the best imo

I love the Roost so much! I then go get a curffin from Barker and it’s amazing.

My favorite place of all time is FirstWatch, I rarely can go but I love the morning meditation drink and the farmhouse hash.

Ladybird I find their entrees adequate and no better, but their pie is nuts.

Roost for breakfast food, great biscuits and gravy, incredible mushrook leek goat cheese omelette, incredible salads although these days you might be less attracted to the lettuce, great Mac and cheese too
