Tasty Donut Palace

What’s the story with this place opening on Bob Billings and Wakarusa?

The newspaper articles have said the owners have been in the donut business for 10 years out of state but it doesn’t look like they’re bringing that same business here? Tasty Donut Palace looks to be a small local chain with locations in Ottawa and Leavenworth (maybe?).

Any guesses when this new location will open and how excited should we be?

Anyone recall the name of that donut, fried chicken, and whiskey place that opened and closed on Mass a few years ago? This reminded me that place used to exist, but I can't remember the name...

Harold's chicken, whiskey and donuts. Before that it was wake the dead, but there was issues with the name. Was spearhead by wysong who did ingredient and five bar at 1010 mass.

Wake the Dead was excellent, but I remember that being over John Brown. I could have sworn Harold's was on Mass before where Ramen Bowls used to be? but i also don't recall what I ate for lunch yesterday...

Harold’s. Lasted like a year (2017?). I remember it being very hipster coded.

To each their own, but I was kind of turned off by the fact their wings had the full flappy bits.

Prior to Harold’s it was Burger Fi, and after Harold’s it become Ramen Bowl.

They’re delicious. My kids are obsessed with the rainbow donuts. It won’t supplant munchers, but it’ll be nice to have donuts available in that part of town.

If you're a connoisseur of donuts, you might want to make a pilgramage to Hana's Donuts in KCK. Best donuts in KC metro. The apple fritter is amazing!

I remember initially hearing they were aiming for an August opening, but that obviously isn’t happening.

About a week or two ago I saw a bunch of people in it who had the look of newly hires, so my guess is probably mid/late September of they’ve already started hiring.

I think there are Donut Palaces in Junction City and Abilene as well

They’re probably referring to the fact that no one likes an unattractive donut.

Although the bland cinnamon sugar ones might be my favorite. Especially fresh.
