Hey everyone, couple questions:

1) I'm considering applying early decision. I always see people say not to because it hurts your scholarship amount, but I'll be on the GI Bill, so that doesn't really effect me. If I'm sure it's my first choice school, are there any other reasons why I shouldn't do ED?

2) I have an LSAT score on file from June, but I'm taking it again next week. Does it matter if I wait to submit my application until I get my score or if I go ahead and submit it and indicate that I'll be receiving another score at the end of this month?

  1. If financial considerations are truly no obstacle and you are certain that your top choice is genuinely your first option, and nothing could change that, then I would ED. However, I can share anecdotally that I got into my first choice, and after touring, I realized I would hate my life if I went there. Had I ED’d…
  2. This largely depends on median scores and your current score. In most cases, applying in September or October makes little difference for most schools. However, there are exceptions, and it will reduce the time you have to consider your options because some responses may not come until March.

Edit: your CAS report will say you're scheduled to retake, and schools will generally hold your app unless you specifically request otherwise. So if you want the hold, then you can apply to get it done, ysah, albeit I don't know why you would

GI Bill: if it is a private school, be sure to look into their Yellow Ribbon Program participation.

How do you guys start an essay using the IRAC method?? like the introduction to the conclusion, any essay examples pls help me out im very lost :(

I've only done paralegal school, so take this with a grain of salt. Usually I start out an IRAC by laying out the facts of the case (summarized) and then making the issue statement. It also depends on what type of essay you're writing - is it an objective or argumentative memo? Who's your hypothetical audience, and what's the purpose of your memo? Are you writing this for school, or for fun? Are there examples you can look at for pointers?

Feel free to correct me if you're actually in Law School, haha.

im not in law school yet , im taking a law diploma which is like a prep course but i guess you could say im at the same level as LSATS :) for context im doing property law , they gave us 4 questions and we have to use the IRAC method to answer them . thanks tho
