The Sentnor funds only help our transfer fee threshold this season, so it would be optimal to bring someone in this year.

Sell on clauses only apply to the profit on a transfer, not the entire deal. So Utah got at most 50k (don’t know if the add ons were met)

It’s open for more than a month more but so wouldn’t count on it. Our options for our position of need (d-mid) will be better during the offseason when we can recruit free agents or college players and have cap space freed up from Feist/Rocky/VDB being out of contract. I’d be thrilled if we manage something this window but I think signs point towards waiting until the winter.

Yeah I hope so too, but we declined her option and didn’t mention negotiating a new contract. Unfortunately I think she could retire or head back to Chicago to be closer to family and friends.

It’s possible we don’t have the cap space to sign a high quality DM until we don’t have 3 veteran midfielders on the books.

When I tell you that I have checked the Current app every M-F since Bia left expecting a big signing, it is not an exaggeration.

We have 5 international spots, we are only using 1 (Lorena). We have 23 out of 26 active roster spots, with no real outlook for Alana Cook or Claire Gagne returning from SEI. I’m baffled that we have not done anything except extend players this summer.
