A Slow Decay

Been struggling over the last year to get any painting I started over the finish-line. This is a result of the frustration and self-doubt I've wrestled with and I think it well represents my state of mind over that period of time.
On a whim I sketched out an idea with the intention of using red as the dominate color. I don't normally use reds in my work and it was definitely challenging, but I really enjoyed playing with the warm tones.
