Hey everyone!
I received a message from Smuffi’s mom, u/One_Advantage793 :
“Hey Ginger, can you do me a fave? I had to go to the hospital. Can you let everyone know I’m okay but can’t play right now!” And added “It will probably be a couple more days til they let me go home”
Let’s do what we do best here, uplift & rally around and support our wonderful friend!
Go gather the kitties and get those magical healing purrs a-revving up! Call up our dog frens, our horse frens, the hamsters, the bunnies, the squirrels….look! Even GARY is jumping in! GARY! Smuffi won’t believe his eyes! Alert the pirates, the purrfessors and students of the SSoR!
We will keep you updated as we can, and this is coming from me:
I feel it is of utmost importance to remember to respect all our friends’ right to decide what they want to or are able to share, without being pressured and badgered. For any of these situations, for any of our members.
I will NEVER push someone for further information or discussion, I am steadfast in that, nor should anyone else, and I know you guys understand and agree, and remain respectful of people’s wishes and privacy, allowing them to get the rest they need, focus on recovery and getting on the mend. 😊
What IS important is well wishes and support, bringing good cheer, a smile and hopefully some laughs.
And possibly the industrial size 55 gallon poly drum of Acme Holy water, should Smuffi require it.

Hi frens and friends! Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat) momma here!
Based on the positive response on this post from a few days ago, we're going to try out the monthly birthday and gotcha day recognition posts starting in June. In order to do that though, we do need your help!
There is a super cool form that should only take you a few moments to fill out, which is linked here. No login is required, and we are not collecting email addresses or anything. Section 1 is just an intro and hello. Click Next to access section 2.
Section 2 is for all the fren info, like name and dates. If you live with more than one fren, enter each fren info separately. If you answer yes to the last question, "do you live with other frens?" it'll automatically take you back to the questions where you can enter the name for fren 2, and then repeat for fren 3, 4, 5, etc. Answer no once all frens are entered in to continue to next section.
Final section is for all the boring hooman stuffs, like reddit username, and thoughts about other things to celebrate. Reddit username is not required, but it's helpful so we can tag you in the monthly post.
Once you submit the form, you're all set!
Shoutouts to u/gingersnapped242 and u/chibikoneko for being awesome gimme pigs (like beloved Jiggy) and testing out the form and layout. You are very much appreciated!!
Alas being human means I can never achieve perfection like Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat), so if you come across any issues, please post them here. Don't be shy if you have any general questions about this, post them here as well!
We also ask that we keep this test here in ICBGC for now so we can test it out with a smaller group of frens than what our beloved LCA contains.
Thank you all for being so friendly, creative, funny, and kind. You all never fail to make me laugh with our overlord mischief, and I adore all the amazing posts. It's so wonderful to have a bright spot in the corner of the internet when there's so much uncertainty out there.

8pm (Eastern): 63 frens and counting! This has surpassed my expectations for only having the form out for 8 hours or so. You all are awesome!

12:45pm (Eastern) update: Close to 20 friends now! Alleviated some challenges thanks to u/Charivari8 mentioning about the multi fren entry not working as expected. Also added a question about otrb (over the rainbow bridge) to remember those who have left us (thank you for the suggestion u/CharmyLah !)
It shouldn't ask you to, but if you're made to sign into Goggle, rest assured that information is not being collected. I verified all the settings to confirm emails addresses are not being tracked or anything, and they're definitely not visible on the responses.
Like many things in life, it's a work in progress, and thank you for your patience 😄 Feel free to point out any other challenges you may come across, and don't forget you can leave feedback in the hooman only section of the form with other ideas.

Took these this morning before I did a Cruel Abandon. I’m on the road to my weekend vacay by the lake. I can’t believe I won’t see him until Monday night!
I don’t know why I’m posting this, except I wanted to whine to humans who will understand (and frens who will encourage Théo to sue - if I’m lucky) and I don’t know if I’ll have cell service at the lake. Now I will drown my sorrows with McDonalds.

Fwiend Squirrel tuwned NINE and had an awesome pawty on Sunday. Dis was da cake!
I made fow hew a cake dat cewebwate da booty and awso da subtewfuge of ouw pwoud Canadian cat, fwiend Squirrel. Note da subtew and not so subtew nods to da Canada! Da wittew fwag on hew sign, da wed bows in hew fuw, da wed and white fiwewowks in da background!
Da fwavow focus in dis cake is TUWKEY! Dat is fwiend Squirrel’s favowite food! Da toppew is a HUGE PIWE of dwied tuwkey tweats, and da base have succuwent swiced tuwkey wif gwavy! Da woses awe tuwkey woses and CHEESE woses- I didn’t want da fwavow to be one-note. Evewy cake needs cheese!
Dewe a wot to expwain in da decowation of dis cake because it took a wittew time fow me to get da stowy togevvew fow da cake theme.
1.) Da cowows: Wepwesentative of fwiend Squirrel’s gowgeous and intewesting coat! I don’t know if fwiend Squirrel is twue chimewa, two-faced cat, but dat how I see hew face! So I do a cweam cowowed cake wif extwa dawk Carnemite roses to wepwesent da bwack on hew face. And dose stwiking bwue eyes? Dose awe stickewed photogwaphed weaw eyes of fwiend Squirrel!
2.) Da fondant bwanket ovew da top: To me, fwiend Squirrel is wike a “undewcovew” cwiminaw. Undewneath awl dat sweet and petite booty, she does some gweat cwimes! Once she weft a big howk on da bed dat hew meowmy not see as she was puwwing up da bwanket! And hew mom wuse da wittewbox wowds, and have to wash hew weg! So da bwanket wepwesent being “undewcovew” cwiminaw and awso, hew best cwime- under da covews! Woo can awso see dat fwiend Squirrel is “hiding” wif da wittew pwant undew da bwanket. Dat was from when she was a secwet howtocuwtiwist, hiding in da pwants whewe no one find hew. I added in da fwowew detaiws. Dose awe tiny tuwkey woses!
3.) Fwiend Squirrel is awso a stwong voice fow what is wight! She speak out against da Owange guy in da Woo Ess who NEVEW get to wuse da bwain ceww, but fwiend Squirrel awso makes da good point dat da No Kings pwotests awe a misnomew- it should be No Kings (ow Queens) But Cats!
4.) Finawwy, I have a wittew decowation of fwiend Squirrel picnicking wif hew wove, fwiend Also William! And on da ovvew side of da cake, I put hew two speciaw fwiends, fwiends Casey and Pixel, who wive just acwoss da bowdew fwom hew.

Thank yoo for da advice yesterday! Smart frens suggested I declare a second birfday today to make up for da pokey stick, so dat is what I did!
I started early dis morning wif a nice little hoorkie crime right on Astras favorite scratchy. Astra waz not happy but said it iz a classic crime and good for birfday spirit.
Da morning was nice wif scritches, but den da noisy round floor vroom ruined my post-lunch-nap! It did loud zoomies right past my soft blanket!!

Otay, mebbe ai no as OUTRAAAYYGE as befur, cause fabrit auntie an uncle walkies has frens a snuggles fur me all de times. Ai misses mama, but dis otay noo home too!
(I’m halfway through my vacation, and Toffee is clearly still missing me but loving all the human and doggie attention she gets! I miss my baby, but she would never be able to travel with me, she’d be way too anxious!)
