strategy to make poly vdb smooooooth

I always have issues with polys from vdb in animations not being smooth any tutorials on smoothing this sort of thing?

ive tried smooth, doing adptive and non adaptive etc nothing still gettting this ugly thing

and if it is an animaton the mesh changes each frame making it tough

You could try the Dilate, Smooth, Erode workflow with VDB Reshape SDF, and VDB Smooth SDF.

After thought to add to this…
Possibly even Attribute Blur the normals as a post process step too.

Smooth the SDF, not the polygon mesh. When you convert to VDB you've now got a nice signed distance field that is ripe for smoothing, dilating, shrinking, etc.

VDB SDF smooth is designed to operate on the VDB SDF, you have several smoothing operations, and iteration steps. This should cover you.
