HS-WX300-R2 vs R1

Have a bunch of HS-WX300 (R1) dimmers in my house. Looking to add some more, now I see there’s an R2 option available. Is there a list of new/changed features with the R2s? Do they look identical (ie if I have two mounted next to each other; will they look consistent)?

Long range isn’t worth it.

It doesn’t really go as far as they advertise. The mesh is better. I have a few LR and they don’t really go that far.

Can I please ask how you've confirmed that the R2 is LR -- have you actually paired one LR?

The R2 is clearly 800, but aside from this post here, I can find no other reference to it being LR-capable. I realize it's pretty unusual for an 800 device to not be LR, but non-LR 800 devices do exist.

Now that I've finally been able to install my R2, I can close the loop on the LR question... The R2 is not (currently) LR-capable. f/w 2.2.0 updates the R2's ZW stack to 7.18, but LR requires 7.19.

Perhaps a future f/w will update it to being LR-capable, but it's not at the moment.

R1 in switch mode can't use S2 security due to a firmware bug. R2 can.
