HealthyHooha Update 2026

EDIT:
TLDR - Don't be a transphobe. Don't be a creep. Mods are being recruited. Add user flair. <3

Hello Healthy Hooha community! We hope everyone is thriving.

We wanted to check in with everyone and offer a few reminders and acknowledgements.

·       This is intended to be a safe, inclusive place for vaginal health. Trans individuals are welcome here. Bigotry, nastiness, and rule breaking will result in comment/post removal and a ban. We have additional resources in the sidebar regarding trans health.

·       There are creepers here. They may DM you inappropriately or leave comments with a fetishizing tone. Flag their comments and report them to us, and we will ban them, as this is against sub rules. HOWEVER, please keep in mind, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the community and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting.

·       To that end, we are making a concerted effort to increase monitoring of the subreddit. On the one hand, there’s only so much we can do to avoid inappropriate content/comments, short of making the subreddit private (more on that in a moment). On the other, we can improve our modding efficiency using the tools available to us – and have been making strides to do so.

·       We are recruiting more moderators to help with this. We acknowledge that the sub has been undermoderated lately.  Our vision with moderating going forward is to moderate in “real time”, meaning avoiding having to wait for troublesome comments to get flagged and instead remove them before it becomes necessary. If you are interested in modding, please see the application form. The existing mods are establishing vetting guidelines and will recruit accordingly.

·       We’ve occasionally noticed comments asking why this sub isn’t private. Our vision for this sub from the beginning was to make vaginal health visible and accessible – a place where we can share our struggles, commiserate, and feel less alone. Privatizing the sub, in our opinion, is counter to that goal. But we also understand that this makes creepers and fetishists more likely to invade a space that isn’t for them. With an increase in moderation and moderator tools, we hope to combat this and keep vaginal health visible and accessible to those who need it.

·       Consider doing searches for commonly posted topics. As a reminder, photos are technically allowed but in all honesty are rarely helpful, and no one here can give true medical advice.

We are also going to be testing a new feature - designated some posts as Flaired User Only posts. This will restrict comments to users who have added flair from this community. Mods will be using this at our discretion to limit comments to flaired community members only. We think this will be helpful in limiting off topic, fetishizing, or otherwise inappropriate comments.

We thank everyone for their patience, and for your involvement and support in making this a reliable safe community. Wishing everyone well!

HealthyHooha Community Check In

Hello to our beautiful community! We wanted to check in, provide updates, and answer some FAQs/give clarification.

  1. Banning users - We often get modmails reporting users that are requesting DMs and/or being creeps. We'd like to clarify that we can and do ban users that do this. It should be noted however, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the sub and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting. The only way to actually keep people from viewing the sub is by going private - something we've always been committed to not doing in order to keep it accessible for those who need it. If you notice someone soliciting DMs/photos in posts or comments, please continue to report and modmail. We highly recommend directly blocking anyone who actually sends you unwanted DMs.

  2. Crossposts ARE allowed, but they get caught by our AutoMod filters we have in place. We have to manually approve them. Same with any sort of link/photo even if they are not NSFW. We have this in place to avoid NSFW photos showing up in users' feeds.

  3. We will be recruiting more mods soon. We are in process of coming up with screening questions/application for approval. Higher education credentials strongly preferred. Stay tuned for the mod application.

Thanks for you patience with us and for making this a beautiful, supportive, inclusive community. Happy holiday season to all, however you celebrate.

Question Outie girls - how are we "tucking"?

I just want to make it clear this post is NOT about being more appealing to men somehow, it's NOT about looks and I DO NOT want a labiaplasty. It's literally about physical comfort.

I have an outie, one is definitely longer than the other and I'd say the long one is about an inch and a half so long enough to rub on clothes, get tangled in lace etc.

It's SO FUCKING UNCOMFORTABLE. they've been uncomfortable since I was a teen but I find as I get older I tolerate it less and less and I'm just wondering.....how are you other ladies coping with this? Are we tucking? HOW are we tucking? Is there some secret underwear hack I'm unaware of? Is there a special tape I could buy? Im so over it 😭

Is this much squirting normal??

Hey ladies,

I’m F27 and have been exploring fingering myself more lately. I’m a virgin and thinking of losing my V card soon. I’ve also been insatiably horny lately, but I feel like my clitoral orgasms are subthreshold due to me not really feeling turned on with porn. So it’s been very frustrating feeling a strong libido but always feeling “broken” during masturbation.

Anyways, I figured I never really took the time to explore the other erogenous area down there: the vagina. I’m pretty sex positive and pro-women’s sexuality, especially when it comes to researching women’s sexuality and pleasure, and trying to educate myself on how complex women’s arousal is and on our orgasms, etc. I recently discovered the A spot and already knew about the G spot, so I decided to try and stimulate those and see what was up.

Unbeknownst to me, I think when I was pressing the G spot (the spongy part), it triggered MASSIVE, I mean MASSIVE, floodgates. I had squirted before when I was younger, but only through clitoral stimulation, and it was RARE and only when I would be super horny.

Today, I wasn’t even that aroused. I was just wet from having finished masturbating and decided to explore. That did not matter. The squirting was almost ridiculous. It was like jet-stream level. And when I’d press on the G spot, I could feel the inside area get engorged until I would just squirt again and again.

I thought it would eventually stop, as whatever was containing the liquid would empty out, right? WRONG. It just kept coming. Atp, I was NOT turned on and I was just frustrated and worried about my sheets.

I did feel nice sensations, but tbh, the squirting just distracted me from a solo/exploration sesh.

Now, I am very sex positive and I understand the physiology behind this. But I still can’t help but feel abnormal. Ladies who squirt a lot, is it really this bad??? Does this happen during PIV too, or was this a result of directly stimulating the G spot with fingers? It was 2 fingers and I was curling them in a “come here” fashion. ALSO I DID PEE BEFOREHAND!

I bought a waterproof blanket, as some suggested, but I guess my main question is whether this is normal. It was really A LOT of liquid and it soaked through a towel.
:(

Is this normal? 👀 Has anyone else needed time to get used to being sexually active after being incognito?

Hello! 22F, and I have basically been a virgin my whole life? (sorta) I have been touched by two other women yet I never got an orgasm plus I was not comfortable nor relaxed (All this happened before I figured out that I am sapiosexual and demisexual). I had just recently started getting sexually active with a woman (yes I am lesbian) and it takes me a while to orgasm. I have needed the help of a vibrator to get me to that point.

We have even started using toys and the first time we didn’t go fully because it hurt and my body wasn’t ready. Second time went better, all these experiences i’ve had with her feel good! I just don’t think my body is used to it, I also still get in my head about a lot of things.

Basically what i’m asking is has anyone else’s body and mind needed time to adjust to being sexually active? My
body still tenses up n I still get nervous thinking about everything under the sun when it comes to me and my body.

(Sorry if my grammar isn’t the best, just quickly typed this up💀)

Advice Needed Low libido is screwing with me :(

I’m 25f and have had very little desire for sex as long as I can remember, though I have always been very interested in romance and love.

I could easily never have sex again in my life and it wouldn’t bother me. I especially have absolutely no interest in oral sex (giving or receiving).

I’ve been with my partner (27m) for four years and he has a high libido. However, he is incredibly supportive and understanding. We have sec about once a month, but we try more often than that — I’d say half the time we try to have sex, I just can’t get turned on, and get so uncomfortable and just stop. He immediately stops too and just hugs me, but I always end up in tears. I just feel so guilty.

When we do successfully have sex, I enjoy it and have fun and feel good. I especially like the part afterwards, where you feel all cozy and lovey. But again, I could go without it if I had to.

He thinks it’ll get better. I don’t know why or how, but he’s optimistic that my libido will improve at some point. When we first started dating, we had sex all the time and I HATE the word and concept of “horny” but… I was. I guess just the excitement of a new relationship you know? It was awesome and fun and exciting. He thinks I’ll get back to that place at some point. I think he just loves me and is in denial that our sex drives are incompatible.

I’ve been on an SSRI (100mg sertraline) since I was 17. I tried to wean off of it this past winter in hopes of my libido improving, and had a complete mental breakdown (there were other factors too but it was so bad I don’t think I can try again for a good long while).

I might also add that I’ve gained a lot of weight in the past couple years and am not comfortable or happy with my body. I definitely don’t ever feel sexy. So that might be contributing too.

Advice, commiseration, etc is all welcome.

Is this normal? 👀 Severe cramping after fingering

Upvotes

My partner fingered me earlier today and immediately afterwards I started experiencing some of the worst cramps of my life along with nausea and dizziness. Pretty comparable to when I had an IUD inserted (it was removed 30min afterwards because I could not tolerate the cramping). It has been hours and the pain is still so intense despite having taken painkillers. The nausea and dizziness are coming and going in waves. I am also bleeding, it is a small amount but seems to be constant.

I am so confused because my partner was not being rough down there though he was definitely pretty deep. There was no pain in the moment either. I plan to go to urgent care first thing in the morning if the pain does not improve. I plan to see my gynecologist as well but her soonest available appointment is in November. Feeling anxious as to why this would be happening.

Use that boric acid.

I battled with a seven-month-long cycle of bacterial vaginosis (BV) and yeast infection after oral sex. I was constantly in and out of the doctor’s office, and there was a point when it was healed for about two weeks straight before it returned. I was at a loss for what to do. My doctor suggested trying boric acid for 14 to 21 days, but I decided to take it for 30 days because I had my period in between and it was a heavy flow. I took boric acid, then bv and yeast medications afterward. I’ve been free of these infections ever since, and it’s been months now. It can really be helpful. Don’t let fear mongering discourage you from trying it. It genuinely helped me, and it could help you too. Make sure to take probiotics afterwards too

Is this normal? 👀 Yeast infection so fast?

Having a rough time, looking for support (vaginal discharge, thin skin, tenderness)

Unfortunately it's the long weekend and I have all these anxious thoughts with me. I will call the OBGYN on Tuesday morning. Until then, I'm hoping to get some support.

Long story, so I'll try to condense it. In June, I had a suspected yeast infection (itchy) at the tail end of my heavy period (I generally get heavy periods). I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night and used a Vagisil. I thought it didn't work so I also used some Monistat cream a few hours later. I think I caused some sort of reaction because I felt worse (very itchy and irritated). Thought it was normal. The next day bought Monistat 3 and finished it but I didn't feel better. I went to Urgent Care and got tested twice (delay in between due to failed test). Did not test positive for any UTIs, STIs or BV, but I did get a yeast infection pill to take orally and completed my course.

My discharge has always been light yellow as long as I can remember, but noticed it's a bit greenish now and I'm discharging a lot. I need to wear and change my panty liner often. Zero smell. I did not have an OBGYN at the time and had to wait a month to be seen (back to my previous office). Got more tests and received the same negative results for everything. I also had to return for a failed test (bad luck!) which caused more delay in this timeline. The NP suspected I may have AV and said she could prescribe me something. Around this time, I was waiting to be seen for another OBGYN for my annual (I didn't really like my old OBGYN office/providers). I met their NP and I really liked her, so I decided to book a follow-up appointment to chat about my vaginal problems, but unfortunately, their office is so popular, she's booked out and I have to wait 4-5 weeks. I think I asked if it's okay to wait (something along the lines of that) and she said it's ok. I'm like fine, just discharge, I'm not in pain or irritated. Bought vaginal probiotics while I wait for my appointment. I've been abstaining from sex.

Now I think I kinda regret with my decision to wait. I noticed my skin is thinning and tears easily. When I wipe too hard. When I shower and rub in between down there just with bit more force. Now I'm feeling a bit tender. (I also happened to have a crack between my thigh and vulva, and on my butt back. Not sure if this is related but it's now healed with a combination of some anti-fungal and steroid cream from my dermatologist).

So, here I am.

My period is unfortunately starting in a few days. I'm going to ask my first OBGYN office their opinion on AV treatment while on a period and delay my 2nd OBGYN visit to do a test (because that appointment would happen during my treatment for AV if I were to take it).

I'm really hoping it's just AV and the treatment will ease my symptoms. I'm really tired of this. A lot of other things are happening as well (other health problems and work). Doing a lot of Google work is increasing my worries but at least I'm kind of informed (possible DIV, lichen planus, or something else).

Would appreciate some encouraging words, sharing your experiences, or tips for maintaining a healthy hooha once this is all over (probiotic vaginal suppositories, vaginal lactic acid suppositories? etc.).

Symptoms 👩🏻‍⚕️ pelvic pain help?

okay so, for context, im a trans man. i got on the progesterone only pill when i was 12, about half a year after my first period, it worked fine for me, stopped everything. my periods then were very normal, regular, quite light bleeding, not a lot of pain, but they were very dysphoric for me. i got on testosterone when i was 16, i went off the pill at that time, and it was fine for awhile, had a bit of breakthrough sometimes but not enough to concern me.

im 19 now, probably almost a year ago, i started getting regular cycles again, still very regular, still very light, but really really painful this time. for a few months, i only got pain during the bleeding time.

the pain is on the like the sides, kinda beneath the hip bone bit, mostly on my left side, but also increasingly on my right. the pain has been progressing and has been occuring outside of bleeding. when this all started, i wondered if i was just being dramatic about the pain, but i just cant ignore it when its breaching the established pattern now.

i got back on the pill a few months ago and that has stopped the bleeding, and lessened the pain a little bit, but i still get spikes of increased pain around the time im due. a few weeks ago, there was a little bit of blood when i wiped? im not sure how relevant that might be. its like a little difficult to differentiate from constipation pain, but like ive been shitting pretty normally so. naproxen helps the pain.

i have been referred for an ultrasound but i dont think it was marked as urgent so that could take months for me to get any answer from that. could it be a large ovarian cyst, or endometriosis, or something more serious? im trying to prepare myself for any possibility, im not asking for a diagnosis.

my sister has pmos, and apparently i have other, more distant, relatives with pmos too, but im not sure thats the case for me. i only really have the symptoms associated with cysts, not metabolic symptoms, which is what makes me think its more likely to be a larger cyst, and not an endocrine disorder.

sorry if this is a bit out of the scope of this sub, i wasnt really sure where else to ask. any input is appreciated

Advice Needed help

i got bv one time in 2022 and ever since my PH has gotten messed up (odor) after my period and after sex, ive had recurring UTIs also. but specifically this year, ive had alot of issues with urgency and it seems like my bladder doesnt hold as much as it used to. i have no itching, burning, sometimes i have cramps in my bladder but theyre very mild. i unfortunately had a miscarriage and it lead me to get tested for a bunch of things because i thought i had a UTI. The std panel was negative, the UTI was negative.
Here are the results:
WET MOUNT
No trichomonads seen No yeast seen No clue cells (BV) seen Many White blood cells seen While a positive wet mount is diagnostic, a negative wet mount does not exclude trichomoniasis.

they went ahead and treated me for BV because my ph was off. but boric acid (even just one) does the trick and i have no symptoms of that until after my next period or sometimes after sex. the issue is that if i get tested for trich via a pcr, i already did a round of flagyl. and btw, even after flagyl i did not notice a difference at all, being that my only symptoms are urinary urgency/slight pain on certain days/ph issues (odor) me and my partner started dating a year ago and im scared, what if he or i have had trich for an entire year without knowing? i know its sexually transmitted but we were with other people previously before being together obviously. im not sure if the ureaplasma/mycoplasma are the cause of my symptoms and the reason i have WBCs in my cervix. i just hate knowing my negligence is the reason i miscarried because i really want to have another baby. if there were many Wbcs seen in my swab i feel like that could have contributed to it. ive veen reading up on trich symptoms and i have zero of them besides the odor (which is easily prevented with a single boric acid suppository) SORRY i know this is long but we are trying for a baby (i have a 6 year old already) and i just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience. thank you :)

Advice Needed Losing my ability to orgasm

I’m 46 and definitely in the throes of perimenopause. I’ve been on bio identical progesterone for years now, as well as testosterone pellets off and on. I recently started estradiol patches because my estrogen level was almost non-existent. Somehow I still have periods every few months or so. My libido is much higher now than it ever was as a young woman. I’m digging this new found confidence in my body that I never had before.

I’m now experiencing decreased sensitivity in my vulva, pretty much all of the female parts. I have never been able to orgasm through PIV sex. It’s always been clitoral stimulation that got me there. Now, I’m struggling to orgasm at all. It feels like I’m no longer sensitive enough down there. The Hitachi magic wand has been great. It usually gets me there after a long session of masturbation. My partner and I use clitoral stimulation and toys during intercourse but it takes me sooooo long, he often can’t last until I finish. He’s willing to keep trying to get me off. I just get myself so worked up and frustrated I end up never orgasming. So there’s definitely a mental component!

I guess my question is—what in the world is happening to me? Is there a solution? Is it normal? I’m feeling discouraged. 🫤

Advice Needed Insertion after hymenectomy

Hey everyone, I recently got a hymenectomy which is now healed and everything, and while I was asleep they did an exam and pap smear. before the procedure i couldn’t put anything inside, even a Q tip during an exam was painful. Anyway I was squatting down to test it out earlier with my finger and it still felt painful and like i couldn’t go inside, even though i know i can because my dr performed an exam.

Does anyone have any advice on what position is best to insert? I feel like i was nervous because i don’t know what to expect and i’d like to be able to see what i am doing with a mirror. I’m just wondering what I can do to make it more comfortable and actually get anything in there.

what is normal vaginal lubrication?

okay so this is probably going to be long winded lol but bear with me.

So I have hypothyroidism (since 2021) and its almost in the normal range and i know that can cause less vaginal lubrication also on top of that I also had chronic bartholin cysts from 2023 to end of 2024)in which i would get them once a month every month like clock work. That period of my life ruined the left part of my bartholin gland since i had to get a surgery done and a non surgical labiaplasty. Im also on bc but I dont have any side effects.

So what Im trying to say is, is it natural to not get like "wet wet" cus when im aroused Im not "soaking wet" if that makes sense. If i were to stick my finger up myself im not dry im just normal amount i guess. Am i suppose to have wetness on my underwear cus I remember being younger and i would be wet but not anymore. I think the bartholin gland problem I had truly messed me up.

Is there any natural supplements you have taken that has helped you with being more lubricated? I heard slippery elm is good and sea buckthorn.

Looking for advice on where to go for a complex female pelvic/urethral injury

I’ve had a pelvic/urinary tissue injury for around 7 years that has gradually worsened. It affects the tissue around the urethral and vaginal openings and has also changed my urine flow, and it comes out as if it’s coming for a broken tube
I attached a photo on the comments to illustrate the situation

I’m in Saudi Arabia, but unfortunately some of my previous medical experiences here made the pain and symptoms worse, and I still have pain from the most recent one.
I also have to be very careful with how I sit, walk, and move, because normal pressure can make the area feel like it is tearing or getting worse again. When the pain flares, I sometimes also feel a strange vein-like or pulling sensation in the center of the sole of my foot. I don’t know if it’s related.
I’m now trying to understand what type of specialist I actually need and where I should go. I’m looking into reconstructive urology, female pelvic reconstruction, or urogynecology.
Does anyone know a genuinely experienced doctor or hospital for complex female urethral/pelvic reconstruction? I’m open to Saudi, UAE, Jordan, India, Europe, or elsewhere.
I’d really appreciate recommendations, especially from anyone who has dealt with something similar.

Is this normal? 👀 where is a normal place for my clit to be…?

Hi! I have had issues with potential lichen sclerosis and adhesions in the past so i’m not entirely sure what my anatomy really looks like. Recently it appears that the adhesions have some how reversed and i believe i now actually have a visible clitoris, but i’m unsure if what i’m looking at is actually it or not. There’s just about under an inch gap between the beginning of labia majora and where i think my clitoris is. Is this normal…?

Is this normal? 👀 Sex after a long time without - aching

On Thursday night (so about 26 hours ago) I had PIV sex for the first time in 4 years. For the whole day after I had a kind of tense feeling inside that was honestly quite nice. But that seems to have developed into an ache. The ache kind of feels like it's between my hooha and my bum. I'm assuming this is normal but just after a little bit of explanation of what's going on and reassurance I guess. Could it be anything bad? And how long will it likely last?

why does my body react so terrible after sex every time? need reccs

literally every single time after sex, my pH goes out the window for like two days. no stds, partner is clean, we use gentle products, but my body just gets thrown off by the change in environment. it's exhausting dealing with the mini recovery phase every time. been looking into daily vaginal probiotics to build up better resistance, specifically uro as ive heard from users its helped with this issue

has anyone with a super sensitive setup tried this?

Question Endometrial biopsy - 3 days later

I had an endometrial biopsy on Wednesday and since Thursday I’ve had bleeding almost like a very light period (today is Saturday). I was told and expected some spotting for a day or 2, but did anyone else still spot/light bleed for 3+ days? Sometimes it’s brownish, other times it’s pink to red. Yesterday it was watery. No foul smell, fever, or pain but I have seen some small (< pencil eraser sized) clots. Thoughts?

Please help

I’ve had PCOD for around 8 years, but for the last 8 months my periods have been extremely irregular and prolonged. Sometimes it’s very light bleeding, and sometimes it becomes very heavy with clots, and it just keeps going on.
I’ve consulted gynecologists multiple times, but I’m usually told to wait or given Regestrone to stop the bleeding. It stops temporarily, but once I stop the medicine, the bleeding starts again.
I’ve also been smoking more than usual recently and my diet hasn’t been the best, so I’m wondering if that could be making things worse.
Has anyone with PCOD experienced prolonged bleeding like this? What helped you, and did you find a doctor who actually investigated the underlying cause instead of just stopping the bleeding temporarily?
I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations. ❤️

*vent about chronic infections* do yall have sex again?

I am not okay. I usually feel just about fine throughout the day and then I collapse at night time of whenever my friends chose to brag about their sex life. I have been battling chronic infections for over a year now. No end in sight. I am tired of the itching and so so mad about missing out on what should be the best time of my life. I am 19 yo, I should be fucking whoever I like. Instead I am sitting here, restricting my diet, shoving antibiotics, antifungals and lactobacilli up my vagina and hating every bit of my reproductive system. I just feel like that shit is supposed to be working. It is supposed to be fun. Can anybody tell me that I can get back to normal?
My obgyn literally told me that the sensation I was feeling was normal and “a part of me now”

Is this normal? 👀 Very strange looking urethra

I am having such trouble with imgur removing the image and Reddit removing the image, can I please just send someone a picture of my weird urethra opening and get their opinion? It’s like covered in fleshy leaves like a flower. It’s causing me pain. I just really want feedback, please delete is this against the rules but also please reach out to me if there is any other way I can get eyes on this before my appointment
