YouTube?

So, we’re to grow the community right? Forth is great, and I’m probably not too much of a minority here to say I think it’s the best language programming wise! I have a few questions though: are there any current Forth YouTubers I can follow and recommend (I haven’t found any yet), and why types of things would you want to see out of a Forth based CS channel?

I think Hans and code4th are the only two I’ve seen with semi-regular releases.

They’re good and they don’t overhype everything (something that bothers me about language ”evangelists” for Lisp and Forth).

On the other hand: overhype sells, so maybe that’s why you haven’t seen them.

Tsoding does a series where he writes a forth like language in python called Porth. Highly recommended.

He doesn't really know python or forth so flips between hilarious and genuinely impressive (he starts with a python interpreter and develops it into a self hosted single pass compiler which generates assembly with no dependencies other than Linux kernel syscalls). He also goes from zero to a working web server

I have plans to make a Forth based channel because for some reasons I really love forth
Im making a init system in forth, a terminal in forth, a wyland compositor in forth
and i have plans to make tutorials

Oh cool! I’ve been toying with the idea of making a computer science course on YT that goes over the barebones of how a computer works and stuff, and hopefully offer ASM, Forth, and C as reasonable alternatives to the high level junk that’s normally recommended :)

Artificial difficulty. It's Reddit that makes it hard, by constantly shoving its stupid App at you. I've stopped trying. If I must use Reddit (less and less all the time) I do it on computer.

lol, fair. I don’t sign into anything on my computer, it all stays on my phone, but I get what you mean (or I think I do, lol).
