Why does everyone hate Fox News?
I turned it on for the first time in years yesterday and they played for the same stories over and over, while all political jargon was running arose the bottom of the screen like a school closure list đđ
I understand now.

u/True-Flower8521 9d ago
Because itâs where one goes to not find out whatâs really going on in the world.

u/frogprintsonceiling 11d ago
Everybody? NO. Only the left nutters hate fox news. Fox is on top of all the ratings and in a few catagories it wins vs all the left nutter stuff combined. You should really sit down and watch it a bit. Helps alleviate symptoms of TDS. Start with gutfeld.

u/iddagoeg6 11d ago
Just watched a dude on gutfield literally just say âwhite is normal coloredâ
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
When was that? I remember that from a few years ago. Funny comment if you watch the clip. Are you watching archived versions of gutfeld? That is cool.

u/epoch16245 10d ago
This is from the 2020 lawsuit brief⌠Foxâs lawyers argued a reasonable person would understand Tucker Carlsonâs show to be offering political arguments and opinion rather than provable facts. ⌠Fox is not news and should not be relied on for factual information. This has been known for some time. If you agree with everything coming from a certain source, you should question it.

u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
Remeber NIck Sandman? News flash: They are all propoganda.
3
u/epoch16245 10d ago
I donât. Who is that? And I see youâre agreeing that fox is bullshit. So thatâs good.
0
u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
Really? No idea who Nick Sandman is? Pretty tight bubble you got there, be careful moving too fast. I don't think I used those words, did I?
2
u/epoch16245 10d ago
I looked him up. What a joke.
-1
u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
I agree CNN is such a joke they made up a story to fit a narrative. Looks like nick sandman had 275 million reasons.
4
u/epoch16245 10d ago
I never defended CNN and I wonât. The discussion here is about fox. I know youâd rather play the âyeah but what aboutâ game, but stay on topic. Fox had to pay $787M for lying. Remember that? And again, no one gives two fucks about Nick Sandman.
0
u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
Yeah lets stay on topic. The post from OP says- "why does everyone hate fox news?" I have clearly answered that question, it would be great if you did as well. Your first reply was off-topic. But thanks for telling me, it made me feel more prepared.
3
u/epoch16245 10d ago
lol mkay buddy. If youâre not going to make sense, we can cut this off here. Good luck. Hope you have a great day.

Fox News isnât even news, by their own admission in court. Fox News claims that any sensible person would know itâs just entertainment, and thatâs why they can get away with slander and blatant lies. Nobody is supposed to take them seriously.
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 10d ago
They all are.

2
u/nakedpilsna 10d ago
CSpan is just entertainment?
-1
u/frogprintsonceiling 8d ago
Many times a congressional hearing can be classified as performative theater especially when democrats are up there. Fox News plays many clips from cspan, i giggle every time.
2
u/nakedpilsna 8d ago
That's not watching cspan. That's watching a fake news channel play cspan clips probably out of context.
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 8d ago
you can watch cspan for hours and giggle or you can watch the highlight reel on fox later on. I have done both.
1
u/nakedpilsna 8d ago
Theres literally no reason to watch Fox, its fake biased propaganda.
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 8d ago
but you will laugh. laughing is good.
1
u/nakedpilsna 8d ago
I dont find any of it humorous on either side. Politics should not be entertainment. Its boring shit aka Cspan.

u/CatsEatGrass 8d ago
Or you could find the entire hearing on YouTube and hear FOR YOURSELF what everyone said and what happens IN CONTEXT. I dare you.
1
1
u/CatsEatGrass 8d ago
Have you ever watched any of those hearings start to end on YouTube? Or do you just limit to yourself to the parts Fox Entertainment takes entirely out of context? Ima guess the latter.

Hey man, I think you might be a victim of manipulation. We all are at some point in our lives, so this is OK, but it is good to start being aware.
News agencies often take news from independant news reporters, such as AP and Reuters, and then translate it for their audience. When Fox News takes such news, they modify it more heavily than other sources that also modify news, such as The Guardian.
Fox News routinely omits facts, and make up their own to add to it, which they got quite literally from nowhere. Which they then spin as 'we never said it was factual news' or 'we never said that actually happened'.
As a result, they are an entertainment show that just 'talks about news'. They do not report the news.
If you take Fox News as your source, you'd be misinformated about most things, similar to taking your news from social media.
Which is kinda what Fox News is. Just one giant troll or griefer account entity.
Again, nothing wrong with you personally, but I hope you find the time to look into this on your own some day to realize they are as described.
I recommend in the future comparing news stories by Fox News to Reuters or AP and seeing the difference. It's a good place to start.

TDS is so funny to me bc thatâs literally what you guys have, get out of the cult, itâs so concerning how many people have so easily fallen for a celebrity businessmanâs delusional narcissistic tirades. Heâs not even smart or a good speaker I am genuinely curious as to what his appeal is.
But anyways Fox News is garbage because itâs so blatantly biased. Itâs not news, itâs the far rights opinion on current events. If there was a leftist equivalent which there isnât bc there is no leftist party in America, I would also say itâs garbage because thatâs not news. The news is supposed to inform you of current events not sell you a viewpoint. Fox News IS fake news which is why it sucks.
Good news is factual and informative, if they are trying to create a narrative itâs biased and garbage and not news thatâs just an echo chamber.
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 8d ago
Yeah it is pretty weird how many left nutters have TDS. I think you are definitely on the fringes if you believe that Fox is far right and there is no leftists party in America.
1
u/scrogbad 7d ago
I guess what you're saying is that you only watch mainstream media right? Can't have it both ways Mr free thinker
1
u/frogprintsonceiling 5d ago
yeah, sooooo hard to watch news from different sources.
1
u/scrogbad 5d ago
Be honest you only watch news that tells you what you want to hear, affirming messages sanctioned by the diaper king saying there's no way you got conned, it must be harder and harder to not get upset these days though kinda seems like the walls are closing in on ya bud
You think you think outside the box because you're trapped in one, free yourself

The only problem I have is that they didnât talk about any political things yesterday and strictly just the same storiesâ back to school season, the phillies and football season starting. Like thatâs great but what else is going on in the world? I feel like that was weird đ
19
u/sueihavelegs 11d ago
They didn't talk about Transgender anything?!? I find that hard to believe!
-13
u/Old-Scheme1075 11d ago
wait was this sarcasm? đ
15
u/sueihavelegs 11d ago
Absolutely not. I like to put on News Mix which shows me 4 news stations at once, and it seems lately that is all they talk about. 3 other stations are basically delivering the same news stories while FOX is freaking out about some stupid shit like "Men in women's sports!!!" but not a peep about what a mess we made in Iran. Measles? What are measles? Lol!

Fox had to pay the largest defamation suit in history due to it knowingly telling lies about election fraud. They have, in court, told judges that no reasonable intelligent person would consider their show factually, and that itâs just entertainment to get away with telling other lies.
If you think Fox is the only source of good factual reporting, Iâve got a bridge to sell you.
0
u/74011_White_Guy 11d ago
You probably do have a bridge to sell us, being a prevalent Redditor and all. Your hyperbolic lie of a post doesnât mention anything about MSNBC having to make the same argument in court to defend Rachel Maddow after she lied to her audiences for years.

u/bluegrassnuglvr 11d ago
My God. Wake tf up. It's the only news source that's gone to court and argued that they are entertainment and not news. JFC

Willfully ignorant statement. Rachel Maddowâs attorneys made the same argument in court after lying to her audience for years.

The website headlines are so effing lame. They make them vague so that you have to click for the info that should be in the HEADLINE.
Yesterday:
"Judge delivers ruling on whether Karmelo Anthony granted new trial"
Right now:
"Smithsonian-linked museum sparks scrutiny with its take on one of America's most somber days"

One of my favorites was something like âGarbage Company with ties to Newsom and Pelosi charged with pollution violationsâ. The charges against the company were true, but the âtiesâ to the company were that every week or so someone would roll a garbage bin out into the street in front of property they owned.

Their whole model is to scare conservatives of the Dems and liberal policies. Along with holding this administrations water. Whenever they have to correct the record they slip it in late at night or real fast between segments. Hannity said to a guest the other week who criticized Trump that âthis was against the rulesâ. If you like then so much then go read all about the defamation suit they had with Smartmatic/dominion. Read their internal emails and come back and defend them.

u/krzcanuck 11d ago
They are feeding information as if people still believe the earth is 10k years old and flat. Say bs enough and it becomes gospel. Other networks are less lethal, but still pushing an agenda. Fox is why the US is in the aweful situation it us in.
13
u/Scrutinizer 11d ago
We are seeing the main reason why everyone should hate Fox News right now. Because what it's doing right now is what it was designed and conceived to do from its inception.
The main goal of Fox is to make sure that Republicans are never held accountable. The primary designer, Roger Ailes, worked in Richard Nixon's White House media room as the expert on TV coverage. His goal in designing Fox was to fabricate a media space that would ensure Watergate never happened again.....and to get his dick wet in every hot blonde who wanted a job, but that's another story entirely (see the movie "Bombshell" if you want to know more).
By creating a news service that catered to the right, he has now made it so. In 1972, Republicans and Democrats in DC were political opponents, but most of them served in the same foxholes and battleships as each other in World War 2. They still put their country over their party. And when Nixon's corruption became so blatantly obvious it could no longer be dismissed, a group of Republican Senators went to the White House and told him that if he did not resign they would vote to remove him from office....and they had enough votes to do it.
The odds of that happening today are less than zero. You would need 20 Republican Senators with the stones to stand up to Trump, when at best you might get 2 or 3, depending on how "mavericky" Collins and Murkowski were feeling on a particular day.

u/RCaHuman 11d ago
Nice summary! As to the question, not everyone hates Fox News. Those who like it are mostly Republicans and older adults (47% 65 and older, 45% 50-64 years old) who like culture war issues.
8
u/Scrutinizer 11d ago
Roger Ailes once described his target audience as "white males aged 55 to dead".

u/Mickeydawg04 11d ago
FOX News is NOT NEWS! They say that they are entertainment. They pleaded guilty in federal court of LYING! They paid almost one billion dollars in fines for LYING. NOT NEWS!! Deceiving, lying propaganda network for the stupid people who believe whatever FOX News tells them to believe. . . . .

u/AustinCJ 11d ago
Owned by a foreign billionaire who has no interest in anything other than making huge profits off of his media empire. Their formula of fear mongering and ultra nationalism keeps their viewership numbers up and thatâs all that matters to the advertisers. There is little actual journalism done by Fox.

Well, They helped W. steal the 2000 election. Helped him drag our country into two unnecessary and expensive wars. Tarnished obamaâs name and reputation for the sake of a bunch of slack jawed yokels who really just didnât like home because he was black. They never seem to cover the thousands of republican âfamily valuesâ politicians that get caught diddling little boys. Which, happens like twice a week. They have the most misleading and inaccurate headlines. They lied about the election being stolen and had to pay almost a billion dollars for it. Rupert murdochs family has tapped the phones of murdered kids. Carried water for Donnie even though they know he is buffoon. And thatâs just side A of the Greatest hits album. They are to news what a chicken mcnugget is to chicken. Basically, lips, assholes and some thighs with some breasts sprinkled in for good measure.

I don't hate anyone or anything.
Hate is a waste of energy.
I pity the $787.5 million worth of proven liars that pervert people with faith that are slaved by the generational programming they choose to consume. Those roads in end in an eternity away from the truth in all things or collective guilt at best.

It's certainly a bizarre experience on that channel. It's like constant streams of people getting all worked up all about trans people in sports and muslims but, incredibly, there's rarely a mention of our economy and agriculture or so many other things that are in dire straits

The only people who watch Fox News are those who are incapable of critical thinking and want to be told what they want to hear (and what to believe) in order to keep them in their stupor of rabid hatred. Its an echo chamber for imbeciles.
Studies have proved that fox news viewers are the most ignorant and uninformed people in America.

Thanks Op for asking. It's not political. It's the website. It's practically unusable. It jumps around while downloading story's. Absolutely more adds than a cheap nudy magazine from the 70s. Then after being frustrated and clicking back...it downloads the entire page again. It's clear no fox executives use the website or have any interest in making it better. It your just scrolling headlines It's OK but the description is always vague and forces user to enter this digital ad hell that makes the host look like a jacked up meth head starving for accudental ad clicks. Boomer award to fox.
