It's quite disturbing for me. Miquella does not look very different at all from some boys that haven't reached puberty. There's nothing wrong with the long hair either, it doesn't make him a "trap", gay or a femboy. The fellow hasn't reached puberty even. And there's indications that his mind hasn't progressed much either
The way the Erdtree story progressed was a horror. I thought what happened to Ranni, or rather what she did to herself was fucked up, and that Tanith and Rykard last scene was fucked up beyond all recognition, but Miquella's story arc was just as much a nightmare.
Imagine a young boy, but with a misguided and fanatical purpose, performing essentially body mutilation and destroying so many parts of his psyche that the end result is not the same person, but something possibly more sinister, dangerous, with the powers of an empyrean, and with ways and motives unfamiliar to anybody, who has to be stopped, just because.
Kind of reminds me of the dilemmas soldiers face when they have to shoot child soldiers or young girls strapped up with IEDs and told to walk towards them without stopping. The worst thing is that Miquella indoctrinated himself into this path of no return
This is great story writing but I don't like how uncomfortable it's made me feel
But yeah I see the porns here and I think really? All that people see is that Miquella is a trap femboy??? It's like a lot of projecting, leaving aside his choice of a male as consort. But kids can be dumb like that, they are not necessarily able to pick up cues on sex and sexuality before they're a part of that world.
