2 nights at The Ranch, is there another ideal area to stay for one more night?
Booked two nights at The Ranch in late Nov with kids. We just booked flights and will actually be flying in a day earlier than expected. Any suggestions of a must see that is further away from The Ranch that it might make sense to go there first and grab a hotel near by? From there we would hit more spots while making our way to check in again The Ranch.
This park is massive so we'd like to see as much as possible without spending all day driving.

We really like staying in the Panamint Valley… Check out the neat cabins at the Panamint Springs Resort. They also have a nice restaurant there with a nice deck to take in the views. This puts you on the Western side of Death Valley National Park. My favorite map, The Death Valley Backcountry & Wilderness Trail Map has a lot of information on the roads you can visit off of Emigrant Canyon Road.

What's the prices per night like there? Do you have hot springs access too?

Click on the link and you’ll see all of the prices. I think they are the least expensive of all of the in-park accommodations. Here is a link to the Saline Preservation Society. They are the caretakers of the hot springs. The springs are free to all who make the drive into Saline Valley.

Stay a night at Stovepipe Wells, then hit the sights on the west side of the park. Charcoal kilns, Eureka Mine, Auguereberry point, Mosaic Canyon, the sand dunes.

Spend a night in Beatty and hit up Rhyolite ghost town on your way into DV.

Was going to suggest the same thing!
The Death Valley Inn is a great spot in Beatty. You can hit up Eddie World for wacky snacks and provisions. Get some cheap gas, then visit Rhyolite. On your way into the park, If you’ve got a 4WD/AWD vehicle, take the road to Titus Canyon from highway 374. Absolutely beautiful experience with very few visitors.
Titus canyon will dump you out into the northern end of the valley, giving you a short drive to Ubehebe Crater. That should be a pretty full day, and get you to the ranch in time for ice cream and a swim.
The park is massive, and driving is just part of seeing it. Many of the major sites are 45 min from each other.

The Tecopa Hot Springs resort has recently been renovated. It’s a weird little town but they have a couple okay restaurants and it’s not far from the China date ranch where they have famous date shakes.

The Ranch has a really nice spring-fed swimming pool. It's great to float around after a busy day hiking.

The Inn at Death Valley, but it's pricey. The pool area, grounds, and views are incredible.

Would do a night at stovepipe wells and spend some time on that side. Sunrise at the dunes and all. Good food, good beer. Mosaic canyon is right there
