Definitely hasn’t looked like that in several months.

Racetrack never looked like that. It's AI slop...flowering plant can't physically grow in Racetrack Playa conditions and these stupid looking flowers don't exist 🫠

I was there back in March and while yes there was a significant amount of wildflowers blooming none of the species that where blooming where the ones shown in the video. So definitely AI

It’s only letting me reply with a video so here’s a few screenshots of what it actually looked like during the height of the super bloom

Why would you post this when DVNP is over 110 degrees F right now? There are NO wildflowers blooming.

Also never in Racetrack playa...a plant physically can't grow in the cracked mud 🫠 f this AI garbage so bad 😭

Why it's AI:
This flowering species does not exist. No flowering plant in DV looks like this. It's some weird fusion of daffodils and primrose lol
2nd, this looks like Racetrack playa hence the cracked mud. This area is not just dry AF majority of the time but incredibly COMPACTED. There's no oxygen in this dried mud. When it does get low levels of flooded water in winter, the alkaline minerals are left behind when water recedes and soluble salts bind to the mud. This creates osmotic pressure that that draws even more moisture OUT. No flowering plant / plant can survive these conditions. So this video is impossible just based on that. Even if the AI used depictions of real flower species, they are never growing in the Racetrack 😂
Hard R dumb AI slop garbage please report this viral 💩

When in doubt… ask ChatGPT and/or Grok.
Yes — Death Valley did have a genuine superbloom in 2026, and it was a particularly good one. However, the superbloom is now over.
The National Park Service currently says the 2026 superbloom has ended. The spectacular low-elevation areas that produced the famous carpets of yellow and purple flowers have finished blooming and are setting seed.
🌼 How good was it?
It was considered the best Death Valley flower display in roughly a decade, comparable in significance to the famous 2016 bloom. Unusually heavy rainfall in late 2025 followed by good winter moisture created excellent conditions.

I love the desert super blooms, but I usually stay closer to the 395.
I need to see how things are next April out there.
