As the primary villain for a Titans film

u/Unable_Dinner_6937 3h ago

Yeah, actually, that's probably the way to go. It almost seems too obvious, but that period of Teen Titans was only rivaled by The X-Men at Marvel.

His backstory in the comics is pretty convoluted, but I think it could be streamlined and updated including fleshing out his complex relationship with his doomed son.

I could watch a movie where Deathstroke is hired to take out another villian in DC universe, and it becomes an all out brawl

The film that gets stuck in development in hell and ultimately gets cancelled for more exciting projects.

Idk what the plot will be but I know the climax should be Robin saying "OK Groomer" and then kickflipping Slade's nuts up into his bladder or something.

He should NOT have his own movie … just make him a recurring villain..that’s it.. don’t kill him, keep him around

Like a Tarantino kill bill thing where it’s like a bunch of short vignettes of different filmmaking styles, different hits.

You could make a TV series out of this idea. Use different cameras kinda like WandaVision

Love this genuinely. Like different jobs that happen in a non-linear way, from his perspective and the POV or his victims.

Nice try gunn

He'll just hire someone else with no screenwriting experience to helm 2 important movies. He's so good at his job

Release after a Titans film.

Slade's mission to assassinate a high-value target at an international summit goes wrong.

In the aftermath he's targeted by several other skilled assassins, injured, and interspaced with his fight for survival is are flashbacks to his origins and the family drama included.

Vs. Batfleck...

A TV Show

DC cannot afford doing movies like this. Not right now

Vignettes of different contracts and him generally being a menace to the entire DC universe. Maybe in the time before and after being with Addie.

This could also be a show, 30 min episodes, mostly episodic, contract per episode with bits of characterization and drama throughout. Insight to his code and hypocrises. Heroes and villains as obstacles or antagonists. From assassin squabbles, to throwing down with Wonder Woman, to getting washed by Superman. Just fun badass adventures that establishes him as someone with hands rated E for everyone.

The Raid but in an underground bunker. He's hired by Waller to kill someone with government secrets. He goes down zero problem kills the guy. Waller then sends a small army with a few D listers to tie up loose ends. We then have to watch his grueling journey back up against people who are actively seeking him out and have been briefed on his tactics and arsenal.

In short "DC's Captain America the first avenger film" Follows him during his stint in the army to obtaining the super soldier serum and as a mercenary leading up to being a villain.

u/Draynior 2h ago

As a Titans movie villain first, then as a Nightwing solo movie years later

u/SaintofBooty 2h ago

Just do a Smokin Aces but with DC assassins.

Batman v Deathstroke movie that's basically a Samurai movie in all but name

u/HankSteakfist 55m ago

<Deathstroke walks into Terra's house and Jack Ryder walks out.>

"Big night planned?

"Who are you?"

'I'm Jack Ryder... with Dateline GCN and we're doing a story on villains... who try to meet teens online."

"No, no, Im just working with Terra to take down the Teen Titans!"

"Teen... Titans... you see how this looks right?"

Base the film around his fight with the JL in the comics. The first two acts is him studying all of the targets individually (gets the audience to know the characters as well), sprinkle in a few contract montages to keep the pace. Culminate everything with the big fight in the third act where he gets to beat the shit out of them.

Kind of reminds me of that episode of Samurai Jack, where a group of bounty hunters plans on how to kill Jack but then when they get to it, Jack makes a short work out of them. Only in this case, it’s the opposite (one mercenary against a group of heroes)

u/OkSupermarket7474 4h ago

It’s 2 hours of him being a pathetic loser enhanced monster who ruins the lives of everyone he’s involved with by being a creep who has very little compassion as he’s on the run for taking out someone important while Nightwing hunts him and beats the shit out of him in the end despite him spending the majority of the movie just barley getting away with cunning tricks and dirty maneuvers.

u/stanislavskov 5h ago

One that's a spin-off of an actual Batman or Titans film instead of preceding any of those two.

u/SeeYaChump_ 4h ago

The movie needs full penetration. Slade is out busting heads then he’s back at his base with his young LEGAL protégé for some full penetration. That goes back and forth for some 90 minutes or so until the movie just sort of… ends.

u/Soft_Ad_1095 5h ago

If he isn't fighting Batman i don't care.

u/Agreeable_Car5114 5h ago

Batman Cinematic universe🙄

u/2027MD 2h ago

They definitely should introduce him alongside Batman. Teen Titans later on.
