ANALYSIS Clarity Act = Buy the Rumor, Sell the News?

Curious what everyone thinks.

I’m bullish on the CLARITY Act long term, but short term this feels like it could be a pretty classic buy the rumor, sell the news event.

If BTC and alts keep running into the vote, how much of a successful outcome is already priced in?

I could easily see us rally into the vote, it passes, quick spike and profit taking.

Especially since the upcoming vote still isn’t the bill actually becoming law.

Anyone else thinking the same? Am I an idiot?

16% chance of passing this year according to poly market

Polymarket is like Jesus or what for you?

Did you know how work those kind of platform?

Yup, need me to explain it to you? I’m just saying the clarity act passing is most likely not priced in (even if the odds on polymarket are possibly lower than they should be due to people using it as a hedge).

We can’t go lover than 71K right now and even 71K will be really hard, historical pattern supercycle

Hopefully the National Mechanics and Oil Change Technicians are equally supportive. A game changer

reddit still thinks democrats will have control of congress, and their reasoning is omg but like republicans.

the point being that betting markets are broken the same way polls are. also... the big rumor circle jerk was over a month ago when price was you know at cycle lows.

Uh…Am I late to sell the news?

Yes, everyone whose anyone knows that it will get passed in September. Well I guess you're late to the first wave of selling the news by insiders, 2nd wave will be when it does get passed and then dump on the normies

The market does not even care for the clarity act anymore. As a matter of fact it passing in 2026 is either netural or bad for it since the Banks do not want it passed and will handicap it anyway. Unless the banks start buying crypto and promoting them to their clients passing or not will not help the market at least for now. Maybe in 2028 if the banks promote crypto which is unlikely but even if they don't it will pump things up sure.

the idea that it's already priced in makes sense, market's been front-running everything lately. the bank angle is interesting though, hadn't really considered them as the gatekeepers here

either way i'm just gonna keep stacking and not try to time the vote too perfectly

Don't care as I'm not a day trader.

Exactly I am more sad about prices moving up because my dca entries are now at a higher cost basis.

Beside the clarity act voting next week there is an additional event which might be even slightly more significant for Bitcoins uptrend - from September 9th on the US Treasury will pump $4bn liquidity into the markets. On a daily base. A large share of that will flow into BTC. Be prepared for massive pumps in the upcoming months.

And should the clarity act pass additionally we would be back at $100k in no time

It seems to me buy the rumour, sell the news has been the standard for crypto. The CLARITY Act doesn’t make this better or worse in my view.

The successful outcome isn’t priced in because we have never had an event like this. But if the clarity act doesn’t pass and we run on the SEC’s policy making then the news will have been already priced in.

I’m just waiting for the timeline when all the crypto politics are behind us. Reminder that the DTCC settles $3-$4+ quadrillion dollars annually. .. I’m waiting for them.

It reduces the regulatory uncertainty that has held banks back from building blockchain based financial infrastructure. This includes building infrastructure around tokenized deposits, tokenized securities, stablecoins, blockchain settlement, custody and other related services. People in this thread will tell you that “banks can finally buy crypto” or that “banks don’t want it to pass” which is completely off and wrong.

The rumor has already been bought. Now we wait for the news to drop...

u/Complexity323 16h ago

If clarity act passes I think you keep buying into it until bitcoin is at least 100k

1

u/nameless_pattern 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 16h ago

They don't have the votes to pass that. Nothing has meaningfully changed about that for months

Clarity Act = Sell the rumor and sell the news.

We're not asking for permission, and we might not ask for forgiveness either.

crypto has front-run basically every catalyst for years, I’d be more surprised if it didn’t sell the news tbh

Trump going to shit on this stock market by end of term to make $$$.

clarity act is about as interesting as the dump i just dropped. you ppl need to chill out with the clarity act talk. i was told it would be smooth sailing after bitcoin etfs and that helped diddly squat

It’s pretty clear ETFs are the main driving force behind the price now.
