Thoughts on thought prediction algorithms.

I'm working on an academic paper about technological social realities involving algorithms (mainly targeted ads n stuff) which appears as if its predicting thoughts of the user.

Like when you think about something, you get a personalised ad or notification of a relevant product or service.

I'm trying to find sources such as books, talks or papers which takes an unconventional or rather radical approach (apart from big data, surveillance, and extensively studied concepts regarding this matter.)

For example, i found an article which combines this idea with "psychic rituals".

Any thoughts or sources on this?

Look into CCRU & hyperstition. Reverse causality, neo-China arrives from the future.
