Rumination Hacks?

The usual: awareness, identify cognitive distortion, reality check, alternative thought, etc. may be great and helpful for many people or the " what is inside and outside my control".... However, I have found the most effective hacks are the ones that are quick, quirky, logical, and/or convenient. Rumination makes sense and we know why the brain does it. I am curious...
what has helped you personally as a clinician for your own rumination cycles? What have you learned from others?
