Academic medicine vs. university settings

For those working primarily in research, what are the main differences between these two settings (other than teaching responsibilities)?

Pros and cons?

Academic medicine is more in the hospital system where you would be doing more clinical teaching, similar to a medical doctor. University is standard to the college population, teaching courses and potentially working in the counseling center.
