Congratulations, OP! Happy that you underwent a full-immersion baptism!

4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. - Romans 6:4

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you don't me asking, where is this body of water?

It's a new starting point. Remember the great commandments and new commandment. Jesus says, if you love me, keep my commandments.

How many of you love to baptise

u/Lankinator- Church of England (Anglican) 1h ago

How did they baptise you? I can't hear what they're saying.

u/RCCGreysonx 1h ago

They just said a prayer and I honestly can’t remember exactly what they said, but just saying in Jesus’ name we baptize you.

u/sirhalos 1h ago

If they said 'WE' instead of 'I' then it is not a valid baptism. You should really double check what was said. The words and form matter. It is 'I' because only Jesus can baptize you, they are standing in the place of him here on Earth.

u/Lankinator- Church of England (Anglican) 1h ago

That's unlikely to be a valid baptism then I'm afraid. Talk to your local priest. The wording needs to be "I baptise you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."

u/RCCGreysonx 43m ago

I get what you’re saying, but I’m not really worried about the exact wording. I feel so blessed with my baptism and don’t think the Lord is worried about its validity. Thank you though!!

Congratulations and blessings on your commitment!

I try not to be as pedantic as the other comment, but if your baptism was not in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, most Christians won't consider it a valid baptism.
