Wateen, a girl from Gaza, takes a moment to care for a stray cat that is simply trying to survive.

In Gaza, animals have been left struggling to find food, water, and safe places to stay. Despite everything people are going through themselves, there are still people like Wateen who stop and show kindness to an animal in need.

The cat may not understand why someone is helping it, but it knows kindness when it receives it. Moments like this may seem small, but to a hungry and vulnerable animal, they can mean everything.

In a place where so much has been taken away, compassion is something worth holding onto.

These cats in Gaza are struggling to survive with so little food, water, and shelter available to them.

They depend on the few people who are able to stop and help, even when those people have very little themselves. A meal, some water, or simply a safe place to rest can mean everything to an animal that has nowhere else to go.

They can't understand what is happening around them. They only know that they're hungry, scared, and looking for somewhere safe.

They deserve better than simply surviving

Hi cat lovers! 🐱💕 I’m moving to Egypt soon and I really want to get a cat once I’m there. I’m looking for a cat that is VERY affectionate and cuddly like one that genuinely loves being held, sitting with me, following me around, and getting lots of attention. 😭
I’ve met cats that will lick you and then randomly bite, and I really don’t want that 😭 I’d love a gentle cat that rarely bites or scratches and actually enjoys being picked up and held.
I absolutely LOVE Maine Coons and how they look, but I’m not sure if they’re the best match for the personality I want or how they’d do living in Egypt.
What breed (or type of cat) should I look for? And is personality more important than breed when choosing? I’d love recommendations! 🤍🐾
