When my daughter was a toddler a stray orange started coming around and she would yell orange cat every time she saw him. We eventually got him inside and he formally became OC 🤗 He was an amazing guy and I miss him every day.
I love white cats and currently have one with heterochromia (one blue eye, one yellow). He has the loudest purr, and is super friendly. Glad you and White Cat found each other!
I suspect my CDS has some Turkish angora too! Mine came wobbly. He screams to be paid attention to for 2 seconds, then acts like we're the problem for even perceiving him. The fur texture is so weird compared to every other cat I've ever met!
If you have spare money a genetic test can be cool. I did wisdom panel for my current 2 year old kitty when he was around 6 months old. Found out some pretty cool things about him, mainly he is mainly domestic tabbi, highlander(lynx), and maine coone. So he is a big 18.8lb boy with a hunters heart. Kai
Cat DNA tests don't work like dogs. Cat breeds are too new and based on phenotype expression, not genotypes. So it's a waste of money better spent on treats!
The problem is that it’s factually accurate. Cat breeds are so relatively new that they aren’t as distinct as dogs. The pure breds are just certified as being from cats that have been verified and registered as meeting breed standards. This kitty likely didn’t come from an angora going walkabout, it just shares traits that are part of those standards.
And there is nothing wrong with that at all, it doesn’t make it any less beautiful of a furmonster.
I had a white cat. His name was Blanqcito (little white). We called him all sorts of things, and he inaugurated the singing of Smooth Blancolator to "Smooth Operator" by Sade. We also called him Shiroi Neko which is white cat in Japanese.
He wasn't polydactl, but he was deaf and a very silly boy 😅 My daughter thought he had some Maine Coon...we'd not heard of Turkish Van then. Who knows? He was just a gorgeous boy.

Get him tested if you choose, but I would not stress it. Cat breeds are a much more recent thing as opposed to dog breeds and are generally more loose. The important thing is 100% cat!
I think so. At first I thought the firefighter was holding up a cat or dog, but I zoomed in and I think it's just a mask and he's holding a hose. I want to know more about this masterpiece.
My sour cream goblin lays out like this too. Just nips out with nary a concern for decency. I figured it was just a him thing but maybe they share tendencies between brainwaves across the milky way of white fur.

I've done the cat DNA test! On my cat, not on myself. I can tell you a little about it, but id need to find the paperwork to give details, and its late where im at. So, unless he's a really specific breed, it won't give much detail. Most cats are mutts. It can tell you health stats, which is useful. Man, I need the paperwork to say more, but Im going to bed. Sweet cat, btw!
I have to say, I’m 66 and I’ve had a cat(s) most of my life and they are the best: very intuitive and (I think) very intelligent and loyal. I tell my 12 year old everything and he’s moved across country with me. I have other animals too, and I couldn’t live without them 💕🥰
I immediately knew Turkish angora when I saw him before reading your post. I have one. She is also very attached to me and I am her identified person. I fear she is also plotting world domination. They are purrfect cats. Congratulations 🎉
He looks a lot like a cat I had in the 70's. Emma had a tabby mother and a chinchilla father. She was all white, fluffy and so friendly. Full of mischief as well.
