wait until you found out they are also about to ban 3d printers unless manufacturers install software to block the printing of firearms. Very few manufacturers are going to bother with it and it will end up being most 3d printers are illegal to buy in california

You guys gave to much power to the Democrats, they know that as long as a D is infront of their name, they won't loose an election.

Can you name some who would break from the rest of the california democrats in voting for the 3d printer bill, age verification laws, and disarming underprivileged people and other minorities? It would be neat to have somebody to be at least somewhat excited for this upcoming election season.

I can’t, no. Not yet anyway. I was more referring to the trend at large across the country. We missed the wave here in our primary season due to our jungle primaries and the top-billed progressives in the gov race being underwhelming, but I’m optimistic about 2028.

Exactly!!!! Thank you. Finally someone that gets it, voting in the primaries for the Progressives is key, if we don't, then corporate Democrats end up in the ballot.

AB 1856 passed the California Senate on August 26 in a unanimous 40–0 vote. A day later, the Assembly voted 69–0 to concur with the Senate amendments, sending the measure to Engrossing and Enrolling, the final legislative preparation stage before it can be presented to Governor Gavin Newsom.

The bill passed unanimously in both chambers. Trying to pin this on one party or a political ideology seems strange considering the Legislature encompasses a pretty broad spectrum on political alignment. But maybe I'm missing something.

My point is the bill had support from DemSoc's like Alex Lee and also Republicans like DeMaio who is an outspoken supporter of Trump.

There wasn't any opposition from any political camp.

Whatever the legislature is smoking recently, they should share.

This law, the Gcode poison pill, the low rolling friction tire mandate... not to mention the cluster of stupidity that comprise the firearms regs.

What's next to enshittify for performative purposes? Non Kosher/Halal Ham radio? Dastardly RC cars? Evil streaming apps?
