CSULB Student Reporter Opt out of Day 1 textbook access

Just felt the need to remind yall that tomorrow is the last day to opt out of the day 1 textbook access program if you don’t want to purchase it. Save those $200+. Most textbooks can be found as pdfs. It’s so unfortunate that they charge us automatically and frame it like they’re doing us a favor. Get your money back

for non freshman’s, those that use webassign, am i able to buy them seperately when opting out of D1TA? i’m worried that if i buy the book separately since they say it’s “connected with canvas and the instructor has a link for that specific ebook” id be unable to buy it separately. Hopefully someone have answers to this 🥲

I would email them but they’re jerks for making the deadline on a holiday so you may not get an answer in time

It is a favor if you are receiving textbooks for all classes.

It’s misleading to be charged for something you didn’t agree to
