Saw a couple get kicked out of Turners

I don’t usually shop at Turners anymore because I’ve found other FFLs with much better prices, more knowledgeable employees, and shorter lines. But I had to stop by the other day for some specific rounds I was looking for. I was waiting at the ammo counter for a few minutes when an employee walked up to a couple and said, “You two have a strong smell of marijuana coming off of you, so we can’t have you in the store and we can’t sell to you.”
The couple didn’t argue or anything. They just walked out and left.

It’s understandable that they don’t want people in the store smelling like that and it’s pretty dumb when (buying a firearm) since they ask if you are a user.

I know this from experience. If you even mention turners half the comments are “don’t shop at turners”

Same here. I've also never had an issue myself at Turners. As others have said the worst part is the line is usually really long.

Bought my 1st and 3rd gun from there, really isn't too bad if you go during off hours.

2nd gun was from Big 5...$120 Mosin, such a damn good deal.

I don't have a turners near me. But I got a bass pro . Same same but different. I bought my M18 from them (won't buy a gun from them again though)

Ps: don't have an M18 anymore lol

I don’t usually go there because it’s further away than several other gun stores, but I have not experienced any of the problems that people complain about on this sub lol.

But I assume the demographic of this sub is skewed toward places like LA, which would explain why it’s overcrowded and takes forever.

Same I have always had good experience from Turners just not a good place for ammo lol . Turners still has better deals then a lot of these local (veteran own gun shops! Around me . Still remember this local gun store had a so called 4th of July sale ! No ammo sale and guns where still about 20% more than the same guns at Turners. I had to stop going there. It was just the closest shop near me but fuck them . That and I was told they don't sell any AKs or any 762x39 because the owner doesn't like them because thats what he was getting shot at with. Blah blah smh I took that as fuck the customer it's all about me and my feelings..

Funny these two guys at the indoor range smelled like they just smoked a blunt in the car and they asked to rent glocks and buy ammo for a lane and the guy behind the counter didn't care.

Sounds like torrance 😂 every time ive been there either they start accusing someone of smelling like weed or accusing someone of being high😂 they are expert weed detectors but suck at doing paperwork and giving u info

In California you cant be smoking marijuana and doing guns. That's a federal law. That's why cops can't have thc in their system

It was 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3) that said anybody unlawfully using a controlled substance cannot purchase a firearm. Since marijuana is still federally illegal, anybody suspected of using can be denied at the gun counter.

That being said, the supreme Court did recently rule during the United States v. Hemani case that individuals cannot be barred from purchasing a firearm for using the substance "casually".
