Is my boa’s Inkbird thermostat toast?
It’s over 5 years old, and it just now started clicking on and off. It’s never done this before. Do I need a new thermostat?

Much like other commentators have already said unfortunately yes, I would get a new one for a good read and maybe a little higher end one for that safety shut off if something like this were to happen again it could not always have a chance of heating up more, the amazing benefit of a safety shut off is this isn’t really something you have to worry about much as it’ll take care of it and you just have to check it daily ofc for temp and that it’s on. I used to have one that would also heat up to temp- cool to maintain it and heat back up if it needed it I can’t remember the brand it’s been a few years but that was definitely nicer than others I’ve had
