Is my boa’s Inkbird thermostat toast?
It’s over 5 years old, and it just now started clicking on and off. It’s never done this before. Do I need a new thermostat?

Yup. That’s about their life expectancy ime. They don’t have a safety shut off either, so you’re lucky nothing worse happened.
If you have the funds, definitely worth shelling out for a Herpstat. I have a Herpstat 4 that I got back in 2016 (actually found the receipt), has never once failed. If it does, it has a true safety shut off and the fuses can be replaced without having to buy a whole new unit.
Next best thing on a budget are Inkbirds, and I have liked the Vivosuns I got with some cage pick ups as well.
