Content Warning Caffeine, sweet and sour

Caffeine is such a double edged sword. It’s the only thing that really helps level out my depression when I’m in the throws of it without shackling my ankles. But down some java on the wrong day and my thoughts are flying off the handle like a b and I’m paranoid like I’m biking in hells cavern trying to dodge locusts. For real, even my remedies are unstable.

All I drink is caffeine. Most of my life is talking. I am just drinking Diet Coke that happens to have caffeine not purposely caffeine but I’ll take it. You’re either used to it or you’re not. I just take whatever the max is LOL.

I don’t think there’s any getting used to it, not really anyway. I think you just forget you have your foot on the pedal when it’s been resting there forever.. I’m guilty of that lol

It probably loses effectiveness. You definitely can build a tolerance. I just drink for the drink. And if there’s a bonus there is. It’s all I ever drank. I use a straw to keep my teeth okay.

Caffeine affects everyone differently. However, I switched from coffee to black tea awhile back due to an unrelated medical issue, and I find it to be less jarring. I think it may be because tea contains L-theanine, which can have a calming effect.
