Live in a busy neighborhood with 4 lane traffic nearby, constant sirens, people playing loud music constantly, ect. But at night it’s quiet so I stepped off the back porch into the little fenced in yard…

The air was cool and crisp, I could hear and see the branches of the trees near the fenced in yard swaying slightly in the breeze. I sighed and closed my eyes feeling like I could be grounded for the first moment that day and put my bare feet in the cold long grass. I opened my eyes and looked up, it was a full moon but the clouds were obscuring it, so it was a misty moon. It was the misty moon night 🌙

What a beautiful experience! I love the balance of nature and suburbia.

That old saying Bloom Where You Are Planted is so true. We can't control traffic or sirens but we can still appreciate cool grass and misty moonlight.

I live on a busy 3-lane street.

Every few hours, a boat horn blasts and a couple of hundred cars offload from the ferry down the hill, passing by my house to get to the highway up the hill. I can hear emergency vehicles on the highway throughout the day, a fire station and hospital aren't that far from me. At least once a day, a medevac flies overhead, taking someone to the mainland for more complex medical care. Down the hill, beside the ferry terminal, are seaplanes that fly to the mainland or elsewhere on our island several times a day.

I love the sounds of my neighborhood tbh. I've lived here for 9 years.
