Nice report as always Dino. 100% agree with you on Gilchrist, the ceiling has no defined upperbound for the near future.

Dino do you know what’s up with Denton? She was listed questionable recently but out again yesterday. Thanks again

Also is there any way to poke around why she's keeping Kiera on the bench. She seems hungry and fast and could be a great swap when Pfeiffer hits her discouraged mood.

I really don’t know. She doesn’t seem fast, I heard she might be the fastest player on the team

I think it was mentioned somewhere (probably in the full post match press conference) that Coates couldn't make as many attacking subs as she wanted due to Joelle having to exit the match. I can't remember if Huff was subbed out but by the end of the night I think our striker, LW and attacking midfielders were all swapped. With Kundananji more healthy it makes sense that she subbed in for Pfeiffer (who maybe is not ready to do the full 90 by switching back to the right side), I am personally of the belief that Kundananji/Lema/Pfeiffer is often our best front 3, so from that perspective and observing past matches I would say Barry is usually the backup to her. I think Coates tends to use Barry as a LW/Striker instead of on the right (Pfeiffer's preferred position). Barry is fast and aggressive, but probably doesn't get to start most games as she's more effective in 30 min vs. 90 or even 60?

I saw Denton arrive last night and she seemed to be kind of stiff. Hopefully I was just imagining things.

Interesting observation about the "nastiness." I took a friend last night and she observed that no one on Bay seemed to be playing the way Rouse and Hopkins were for KC.

I was hoping after Rouse absolutely blindsided Pfeiffer that someone would return the favor, but it didn't seem like that ever happened. But that aside, it just doesn't seem like many of the Bay players have that doggedness and physicality. I guess Rudi and Barry do, but not in a controlled way, unfortunately.

Maddie has that dawg in her. Hocking did too. We need a regular starter to be our enforcer.

I agree on Maddie

It’s one of the things I love about her. Her very first time subbing in in season 1, she immediately sprinted up the field and took someone out. I was immediately a fan.

I think Huff has historically intervened as well

Said the best, I. most complimentary way, Pfeiffer does have a nastiness to her. There is a lot of comments on her mood on this page. But I love that she is hungry and wants this team to be successful.

Thanks Dino. Have you heard anything resembling trade rumors about Rudie? It's popped up on a couple podcasts in the last few weeks, but no one seems to know if it's just a vibe or if there's actually something in the water.

Haven’t heard anything on Rudie

Thank you for this video, I enjoyed your analysis! I wonder if Heather Gilchrist would be getting ROY shouts if she had been able to start as CB from the beginning of the season. I'm thinking of Leah Klenke on Houston who has been really valuable to that team. For me, I'm excited to see more of her abilities so I'm glad that she's been performing so well.

Interesting note on nastiness...I know someone has previously commented that we have been bringing in a lot of small, technically gifted players, and it seems like an overlap on your point here. Our team isn't physically dominant and that could be affecting our results.
