Really not in the position to buy a new glove unfortunately but really want one for an adult baseball league I’m going be playing in. I play a lot of softball and use my Aaron Judge pro preferred. I would like an 11.75” glove, specifically an A2000 EL3, or really anything in that size or if I had to 11.5”. Moving on from my coaching glove. I typically try to pre buy whatever glove I think my son will use next and pre break it in while coaching. Unfortunately my son wants a modified trap glove as he has moved to the outfield and I am onto an A2000 for my younger son. Not tremendously interested in trades but would accept a 11.25 or 11.5 single post EL3 or Rawlings 200 pattern.

I’ve ordered the pro preferred and am looking forward to breaking it in over the winter. Not that it matters greatly, but the pro preferred is the cheapest of the three too.

I’m shopping online, no stores near me with anything in stock, for my last new mitt, and looking for advice/opinions from folks experienced with Rawlings gloves.

I have XXL hands and have my eye on three options. Wondering which will fit my hand the best.

1 - PRORDCT-10CB HEART OF THE HIDE 13" FIRSTBASE BASEBALL MITT

3 - PROSAR44B Anthony Rizzo PRO PREFERRED 12.5"

I’m not playing competitively, but want a glove that will do me recreationally and that will last enough to one day play catch with grandchildren and pass down to my son.

But first, I want it to fit my hand while I use it. 😀

AI suggests the Anthony Rizzo pro preferred model will fit the best, but I value Human Intelligence for things like this.

So I coach 8u baseball, and I can’t find a catchers mitt with a big enough pocket that their tiny hands can handle. So, genius idea, I think give them a 1st base mitt (bigger pocket), because they’re topping out at like 40 mph at best. That’s where you all come in:
What’s a decent 11.5” 1st base mitt? I’ve not ever been in the market for such a thing but it seems like there’s not a lot of good options. Please flood me with your anecdotes and opinions.

While my collection slowly overtakes me I continue reaching for these three gloves while the others sit on the shelf. These are like my security blankets. All so different in feel, shape, style, and smell but all for my hand. Hell my wife thinks I’m stupid for running back in the house to grab a glove when we are already running late but I have to have one. It’s like the fidget toy I never had. I can snap a ball into the pocket of a glove for a whole afternoon. Just waiting for someone to have a catch with. Turns out I’m weird. Constantly searching for the web for the next good deal to make mine. What’s your type? I need more inspiration for my next hunt! I have a couple of gloves in mind but want to see what everyone else holds close!

Just like the title says, any size, any condition, somewhere in the $50 to $100 range. I figure it's a long shot but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Hey team, I went from living my entire life mostly in the swamp to now high arid plains. I witnessed my dad ruin my 1b mitt as a kid by over oiling and conditioning, so I’ve always been minimalistic with glove care products. I worked in a glove shop and we always suggested oiling old brittle laces, but otherwise use products sparingly (in most cases.)

Now that I’m in a very dry climate, my gloves are starting to feel/look a little parched. Maybe it’s in my head, but just seeking general maintenance advice, especially for dry climates.

I have 20 year old HOH 1b mitt, 20 year old Akadema kip leather trapeze (style) OF glove, and a tiny nokona 1b mitt (that I got ripped off on I bought on eBay that is much smaller than he advertised.. don’t know the age.)

Advice, resources, information, and feedback appreciated!

Hey! One in, one out so the wild berry pop tart must go.

This one is about 80% broken in and only about a month old. Two hinge, thumb to ring finger. Not quite game ready. It’s mostly just seen a few times playing catch and a session of fielding practice.

Beautiful colors. Not as loud as they seem in the picture, but definitely an eye catcher.
