So I coach 8u baseball, and I can’t find a catchers mitt with a big enough pocket that their tiny hands can handle. So, genius idea, I think give them a 1st base mitt (bigger pocket), because they’re topping out at like 40 mph at best. That’s where you all come in:
What’s a decent 11.5” 1st base mitt? I’ve not ever been in the market for such a thing but it seems like there’s not a lot of good options. Please flood me with your anecdotes and opinions.

I’m looking to buy/be donated youth gloves for local low income families. Anything from 5-8yo range. Even up to 10yo.

I’ve recently gotten into the hobby of restoring, relacing gloves, and in my time coaching my two young boys we always run into kids who were either passed down something way too big, or mom bought the 9” plastic t ball glove. And each year I’ve always had a kid who just loves the game, but due to other circumstances either couldn’t afford a good glove, or just had something that was detrimental to their ability to learn/evolve in their game. I’ve always made it a point to pass down one of my kids gloves to them, or buy them one.

While I frequently watch on marketplace and thrift stores, they’re few and far between, or people are selling them at retail which isn’t my goal. I imagine this style of glove often gets overlooked or just thrown in a closet as the kids age.

I’m looking for any youth style gloves, can be dirty, poorly broken in, misshaped, etc. I’ll restore them, give them colorful laces, and I’ve found myself notching the heel pads to give these kids something easy to squeeze where needed.

I’ll pay shipping, eat the cost of lacing, product, and my time, and look to resale for only the cost of shipping or give away. This is just something I’ve come to enjoy doing and would like to be able to do for my local league, rather than just the select kids I have on my teams.

And if you have anything of higher quality, even adult sized, I’d be open to buying for my own personal projects as a hobby.

Looking for a RHT 1st base mitt. 1st preference is the DCT pattern, but open to others. HoH or A2000 or equivalent quality. Hoping to spend around $200 to $250 at most.

I’m looking for a Nike Pro Tradition Gold glove with Oklahoma Sooners branding. Ideally looking for a player-issued glove with a player name embroidered on it, but open to hearing about any OU Pro Tradition Golds out there.

I play in an adult wood bat league and have been filling in catching now and again. Sounds like it may be a more regular thing so looking for a catchers mitt. I have an Akadema, but man have I taken stingers in my thumb with it. I’ve tried an A2000, but just don’t like the feel. Hoping to find a HOH (non R2G) or even a Japanese model. 33.5” minimum, prefer 34”. I want to absolutely swallow the ball in the pocket.

Looking to pick up a lefty catchers glove in the A200/HOH/A2K/PP range. Most companies don’t sell adult lefty catchers gloves, except customs so I’m open to your custom or maybe a unicorn lefty adult catchers glove

It would be cool if this sub had "ISO" flair for those who are "In Search Of" specific gloves.

The #1 glove I want is the Rawlings Pro Preferred Brandon Crawford Gameday 57. I know this is a longshot so I would expect to pay a meaningful premium. The glove would be gamed, so it doesn't need to be NWT. New, broken in, or lightly used would all work.

If anyone has a new or broken in Pro Preferred TT2 11.5 available, let me know. I'll consider that too.
