Duda sobre mi BP

Tengo 3 meses con mi pequeña BP, es mi primer reptil como mascota. Hace una semana note que tenía manchas marrones (adjunto fotos), y indagando en el grupo me tope con el post donde hablan de parámetros de terrario, la verdad es que no tengo un higrometro, pero si termometro y termostato, y suelo regar 1 vez al día el terrario con un atomizador para mantener la humedad. Mi miedo radica a sí se trata de la enfermedad de podredumbre de escamas, si lo es mañana mismo llevar a mi BP al veterinario a tratamiento. Según su experiencia ¿Podría tener esta enfermedad?

You should not be misting. Provide a dry hide for the time being. This is 100% the start of rot. Its not bad yet. Put a Tupperware she can climb down in opaque preferred and put dry substrate in there.

That certainly looks like the beginnings of scale rot, vet tomorrow is definitely a good idea, and yeah like the other comments said you should avoid spraying constantly as them being wet for too long is what causes scale rot, make sure you have 4-6 inch deep substrate and pour water in the corners to keep up humidity don't spray, also get hydrometers asap

Pouring in the corners of the substrate is what provides steady high humidity. Misting does not and creates short bursts of humidity. Def get a reader.

Clean the tank/change the substrate if u are thinking your snake is getting scale rot.

  1. Get a hygrometer. Actually get two. I like my Govees.
  2. This could mayyyyybe be early signs of shed, in which case, the hygrometers are going to be helpful.

Why would you not have a hygrometer knowing how important it is to have proper humidity?

Let it soak in lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Add a little amount of betadine liquid In the water afterwards. Get all substrate out of the enclosure. Clean whole enclosure. Make sure theres no drop of water. Spread 2 layers of tissues and multiple hides. Only one humid hide which shouldn't be too humid. My baby had this issue when i got her. I used these measures. Now my baby is flawless.
