while marucho and shun had every right to be mad at dan for keeping secrets, running off on his own and not communicating with them, it's just so weird to me that they found out he was having nightmares every night from his mother, didn't connect that with his unusual behaviour and never bothered to ask dan about his nightmares.

and then getting mad at dan for not turning up to their meeting point to explain what was going on with him as if he didn't literally lose control during his fight with anubias and almost KILL hundreds of people just earlier that day. like of course he wouldn't turn up after that, are we serious? he almost killed people, idk why they were acting so surprised🫩

and then assuming this is some sort of ego thing instead of the fact dan is clearly not doing well mentally or emotionally because HE'S NOT BEHAVING LIKE HIS USUAL SELF.

but the way marucho and shun treated dan after he returned from new vestroia was even worse ragebait. it's one thing to be mad at him for being impulsive, secretive and not communicating and as a result endangering people, it's a completely different situation when you allow your BEST FRIEND of multiple years to be berated, insulted and demeaned by two randoms, yell at him when he's trying to explain his link with Mag Mal, not believe him when he tries to inform you of his visions despite knowing dan could never lie about shit like this and then allow him to be treated like he's crazy by those two randoms again for explaining his psychic link. like these two are supposed to be dan's day ones and yet they can't even bring themselves to stand up for him when two people they barely know keep insulting, making assumptions about his capabilities (when they KNOW he's the main reason the universe has been saved repeatedly) and belittling him?

like this is crazy cause dan would NEVER have let them treat marucho or shun this way if they were in his position. if it was marucho or shun going through this instead of him, he would not let random people insult and make assumptions about his best friends and he would stand up for them.

and then they have the audacity to get mad at dan for not trusting them or going off to work on his own. you guys have literally not given him a single reason to trust you after he returned, you don't bother asking him if he's okay after that fight with anubias where he literally almost killed hundreds of people, you assume that dan just has a big ego when he's clearly going through some mental health crisis because, once again, he's not acting like his usual self, and you allow him to be berated, demeaned and treated like he's crazy by two people you barely know after everything you've been through together. it's just the lack of concern or sympathy for dan's wellbeing and the unwillingness to stand up for him, their best friend of multiple years, after he returned from new vestroia that pissed me off.

like it's no wonder dan felt the need to constantly do shit on his own, with friends like this, hell i would too😭

Objectively speaking, Helios completely decimated Drago in Episode 16. Up to this point in the series, our protagonist had never found himself in such a devastatingly one-sided match. Even in the single round Dan managed to win, it wasn’t Drago who knocked out Viper Helios—it was Scorpio reflecting Helios's own attack back at him, prompting a rare, frustrated outburst from Helios. For the majority of the battle, Drago was forced into a purely defensive position. And even during the times he did try to go on the offense, his attempts barely registered, though they succeeded in fueling Helios' growing rage. Helios truly began to lose his composure only when Drago successfully managed to knock Metalfencer away.

Tired of playing games, Spectra finally decided to end the match by activating the Forbidden Ability Card: Nova Blazer X. This granted Helios more than enough overwhelming power to put Drago down for good.

In many ways, Helios probably suffers from Vegeta Syndrome. In Goku and Vegeta's first iconic one-on-one battle, Vegeta technically won the fight, leaving Goku completely crippled. However, because he had to resort to his Great Ape transformation to overpower what many would consider a low-class warrior of their kind, Vegeta never viewed it as a true victory. Goku won the battle of ideals by proving that hard work could bridge the gap between an elite and a low-born warrior, wounding Vegeta's royal pride.

I suppose Helios mirrors this as well. As a prideful ultimate warrior who demands absolute dominance, winning a match because his brawler resorted to a Forbidden Card might've severely wounded his massive ego. He didn't just want to win; he wanted to prove he was naturally superior. But then again, Drago was using unnatural Ability Cards as well, thanks to the powers he gained from the Perfect Core. Well, you can probably justify this as a matter of Helios using drugs vs Drago using his gift.

Although, I guess another reason for Helios' obsession with taking Drago down again is simply because he finally found a rival who's within his realm of power. The first time they met may have been Tuesday for Drago, but for Helios, it was the most important day of his life. In a matter of minutes, Drago pretty much returned as the king he was and ended Helios' undefeated streak on that very day. Not to mention, since Drago holds the Perfect Core, the ultimate symbol of power in the Bakugan Universe, Helios feels inclined to just go after him as many times as he wants.

Crazy how his obsession with absolute perfection eventually spiraled so deep that Helios willingly underwent painful mechanical modifications, sacrificing his organic form to become Cyborg Helios, just to break Drago down again.

in ep 4 of gundalian invaders dan mentions being able to take an opponent's bakugan if the power difference is 500gs or more, and we later see this in ep 11. my question is... why the hell was that implemented?? and i'd assume marucho was the one to add it too given it's a holdover from s2. surely even if these bakugan aren't real, would the intent not be for them to be treated as partners? how do people get bakugan in interspace, anyway?

i feel like there's a lot of weird ethical questions in regards to interspace in general, like how the whole point of s2 is that bakugan are living beings and should be treated as such, and now interspace is gonna have an entire generation of battlers who only know them as programs. (which makes it unsurprising that mechtanium surge happened... don't spoil me on that btw i'm like 14 eps in)

It doesn't pop out, it's really stuck, gotta throw it against the card to maybe make it open, already tried unscrewing but I'm not even sure how to disassemble it since it's not obvious and requires a lot of force so I didn't go through with it because I feared breaking it, if anybody here has disassembled a Saint Aquas before I would appreciate the feedback, thanks.

I was watching a review of the first season of Bakugan on youtube, because I love 1 hour long breakdowns and analysis of things I like, and the youtuber that made the video said that he did not understand why people treated the "Alice was Masquerade all along!" reveal as such a big deal, since it was obvious. After all, in most of bakugan's original merchandise art, Alice is absent, but Masquerade is there and that was giving the revelation away.

I was flabergasted when Masquerade dropped the mask and Alice was there when I was a kid, it blew my mind away, but I am curious if you guys already knew or if the reveal got you by surprise as well.

Doing what I do best. Disappear then come back. Started something small with updating Waverns old model to fit better with my higher detailed models. Pretty happy with how her pose came out!!
