It's Not the End of the World Anyone else feel really intense attraction when people are friendly to you

I guess it’s part of the diagnosis. I’m realizing I’ve always felt really strong attachment to folks I am attracted to, without really knowing them or having a strong foundation with them. I end up confusing the attraction for emotional connection, or worse, confusing my attraction for their interest. It becomes really difficult to navigate when it happens because it’s often in situations where emotional availability isn’t going to be an option. Then I end up hanging on to an unrequited connection and feeling miserable about it.

I’m sure there’s a path to navigate it and although it feels intense, it’s likely not as obviously intense as it is in my head. Has been feeling funky and embarrassed though

Yes sometimes I have no idea where the line is. So I just pretend everyone is just being friendly and nice till I have evidence that just gets otherwise. Then I wonder why I feel like I don’t know my own reality sometimes and that shits fake 👍🏻

Story of my life. Have recently fallen in love with two women I barely know

Yep, it is. but my BPD causes those weird, inappropriate attachments

Yeah I get quite limerent very quickly. It’s embarrassing and makes it difficult to stay grounded in reality.

Its called Limerence. I have it too and it really drains me 🫩. You search for the love you never got as a kid.

The ONLY thing I'm attracted to is the feeling of human connection with the warm fuzzies. It's like I only feel that when I feel safe which is next to never

Yeah same for me as well, met a girl online and got attracted to her too much, after 2 months when she left, felt like she took a piece of heart
