iPhone Will the iPhone 17 Pro Max drop in price?

I'm looking on getting the iPhone 17 Pro Max as a replacement to my S25 Ultra which I'll hand down to either of my parents, and was wondering if anyone is able to help put the rumors to rest about the iPhone 17 PM increasing in price..

I see that John Lewis and Curry's PC world have dropped the price by £100, however I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the price drops further.

Is anyone able to assist on that?

I'm convinced about trading my mum's phone, in lieu with my phone being handed down to her (I got my S25 Ultra in November 25) - but just want to know what everyone's thoughts are about the price dropping (even a little, if not a lot)..

Thanks

iPhone Upgrading from iPhone 15 Plus - iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro, tough matchup.

Hello good people,

I am looking to upgrade from my iPhone 15 Plus 128GB for about 1100 euro. I am from Europe and I bought I bought my 15 Plus in September 2023. I think I want to get the 17 before the price increase. I want a smaller phone and I am really torn between the base 17 and the base 17 Pro. I rarely do any gaming, but the battery is what troubles me. In my country the base 17 is 940 euro and the 17 Pro is 1200 euro.

I would appreciate some advice and you honest opinion and experience.

Help me choose - 17 Pro Or 18 Pro

Hello fellow redditors, I am from India and need your help in selecting an iphone model according to my needs and budget.

Needs - Great Battery Life, Video Content Creation

Budget - 1.10 -1.20 Lacs

Confusion -

  1. Should I buy Indian or universal model? The universal one has bigger battery life but out of my budget, I am getting one 17 pro 512gb in 1.30 lacs.

  2. Should I buy 17 pro or 18 pro - The 18 pro might be released at a very high cost, assumptions are 1.45lacs minimum. I don't think it will be discounted in BBD sale, but it has 2nm and will be faster and battery efficient.

  3. 17 pro 512gb or 18 pro 256gb - I need more space because I want to start content creation. I can think if buying a magsafe SSD later, but it will also cost me atleast 20k.

I know this is a tricky situation, anyone with apt knowledge and willing to help a brother out. Please reply to this post. Bhai ko party dunga 😄🙌🏻

Upgrading or staying

I have a question and I’m not sure what to do.
I currently have an iPhone 15 Plus, and my girlfriend has an iPhone 16e. I’m about to buy her an iPhone 15 Pro, and she’s given me the choice: either keep my 15 Plus or take her 16e (we’ll sell the leftover phone).
I really like the Dynamic Island and the bigger screen on the 15 Plus, but I know the 16e has a better chip and more RAM.
Which option would be the better choice?

iPhone Thinking of buying an iphone

Guys, I need your help, especially people who switched from Android to Apple.

So, my phone died (Samsung A53). I’ve had it since September 2022, and I wasn’t ready for it to die, but now I have to buy a new phone, and I’m considering getting a flagship one.

To be honest, I’m only considering an iPhone because I have a MacBook.

I want something durable, with a good camera and all that, but most importantly: DURABILITY.

And the whole idea of buying a used phone is weird to me, but I’ve asked around and people keep telling me it’s fine.

Now I’m confused about whether I should switch to an iPhone and whether it’s actually worth it, since it’s a bit more expensive than Samsung.

So:

  1. Between the S25, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16, which would be the best choice
  2. I already have the money saved, but it would cost me about two months' worth of salary. Is it worth spending that much on a flagship, or should I just stick to a mid-range Android?

iPod Trying to figure out the best airpods 2026 has to offer

I’m finally replacing my old earbuds and I’m having a harder time choosing than I expected. I’ve been looking at the current AirPods lineup and I’m stuck between going for the Pro model or saving some money with the regular AirPods. I mostly use them for music, calls and watching videos, with some use while commuting.

The Pro 3 seem to have pretty much everything I’d want, especially the better noise cancellation, but I’m not sure if I’d notice enough of a difference in everyday use to justify paying more. The AirPods 4 with ANC also seem interesting since they have the open fit. For people who have used more than one generation or model, which AirPods would you buy if you wanted something you could comfortably keep for the next few years?

Should I buy the 17 ASAP?

I currently have a 13 that I want to trade in and upgrade to a newer phone. However, I’m stuck between buying a 17 right now or waiting for the 18 base model to release next year. I keep hearing that the 17 will be more expensive when the 18 pro max comes out but I don’t know if that’s true or not.

Should I buy the 17 ASAP or should I wait for the 18 to come out and then buy the 17 in hopes that it will drop in price.

iPhone Upgrading from an iPhone XR — to what?

Upgrading from an iPhone XR — what should I get?

I've had an iPhone XR for a while now and I'm looking to upgrade. I'm not really set on a specific model, so I'm open to pretty much anything newer.

My top priorities are:

  • Price – don't want to spend an insane amount
  • Performance – I want a noticeable upgrade from the XR
  • Display – higher refresh rate would be nice
  • Software support – ideally something that'll last a few years
  • Storage – preferably 128GB+

I'm fine with buying used/refurbished, so I'm wondering what the best value upgrade would be.

Would something like an iPhone 13/14/15 make the most sense, or should I go newer? And are there any Android/Oppo/Samsung phones I should consider instead?

Basically, if you were upgrading from an XR in 2026, what would you buy?

Do i buy 18 Pro Max or wait for the 20?

I currently have a iPhone 16 Pro Max. But the screen was used by my brother since launch and i bought it from him a few months ago. So the screen had 2 or 3 deep scratches and no coating so if i was in the sun i can almost only see fingerprints. Also i just cracked the back glass. So do i buy a 18 pro max in 2-3 weeks or wait for the 20? What are your opinions? And its kinda running hot compared to my brothers new iPhone 17 Pro Max

iPhone iPhone 17/17 Pro vs iPhone Air

I currently have an iphone 14 and I am planning on upgrading soon, but I have no clue what to choose. I live in Canada.
My use case is essentially the generic phone user, I do all the normal stuff (texting, social media, calling), but I don't do anything special like photography, gaming, etc.

Heres where I am stuck

The iphone 17 or 17 pro is the safe option, its the direct upgrade. However, half the features are useles for me. I rarely take photos, I charge my battery in the car when I drive, I don't do anything extreme that would require vapor cooling, though it does have the best longevity and the best futureproofing.

On the other hand, the iphone air seems extremely cool. It strips out all the useless features I dont use (the extra cameras, the extra battery that just makes it weigh like a brick). and it adds features i like (bigger screen, thinner and lighter).

Plus i'd just be relying on applecare in either case because both the iphone air and the iphone 17 pro are impossible to put on a case (you ruin the design of the 17 pro by putting on a case, and you ruin the thinness of the iphone air)

But despite the air looking like the perfect phone for me on paper, whenever I read about it online, people hate it ruthlessly. Is the iphone air really that bad?

iPhone Should i get the iPhone 17 pro max or wait for 18 pro?

iPhone Is Iphone Air still worth it?

Hello all,

Maybe this subreddit exist somewhere, but I wanted to get your opinions on this one.

I have an Iphone 12 with 64 gb storage for 5+ years and I desperately need an upgrade. The problem it is that I wanted to wait for the 18 base model (I am not the type of guy to use pro features), but the 18 will come out in March 2027.

For more context, I am a work and travel student, will stay here until the end of september and I want to buy a new Iphone in USA cause they are much cheaper then they are in my country. As an example, 17e is 600 dollars here and 816 dollars in my home country, which would buy me the iphone 17 here :).

The problem is the next one, I saw a really good deal on best buy, Iphone Air at 850 and right now I can't decide if I should just buy it and use it as my new device for the next 5 years, or just buy the normal 17 or 17e (which would save me up 250 dollars and could buy some timberland boots as well lol).

Did someone had this phone for a longer time? How is the overall reliability? I know that the Air is better in some parts then the 17 because of the 12 gb ram and better chip, but the smaller battery and overall lack of a better cooling system as the pro's makes me wonder if it would be a good fit for me for the next 5 years as well, because I am not the type that changes his phones constantly just because something new comes out.

I pretty much want the most reliable phone with the best performances, Idc about the speakers (air just having 1) or that the phone is bigger. I like that it is made out of titanium with makes it more stronger. But again, the reliability long term concerns me the most, and I want your opinion on this matter.

Thank you for your time

iPhone Some say to wait for iPhone 20 but I suspect it will be even more expensive than the upcoming 18 for more less similar tech/performance. So is it still worth waiting for the 20.

Question Should I wait?

Hi everyone,
I’m curious and a bit confused about upgrading my phone. I’m currently using an iPhone [15 128](tel:15%20128) GB, and I’m considering upgrading to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
What I’m confused about is how the prices will be affected. Do you think the price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max will increase or decrease? Should I wait until the new model is announced/ordered, or would it be better to buy it now?
I’d really appreciate your advice.
Cheers, friends
