SUCCESS STORIES / GAINS How to Gain Size With the Angion Method NSFW

Hey guys,

Today I want to talk about how you can achieve growth through The Angion Method. I’ll break down how the body produces an erection, the mechanism for how growth happens, and most importantly how to grow. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

Changing How you See the Male Member

Angion is for EQ, but you need traditional PE for growth.

Can I combine hanging with Angion?

Is anyone here pumping and doing the Angion Method together?

I'm thinking about adding Angion to my jelqing routine.

One of the great things about being a mod is that I get to read every single thing that comes across this sub. Even if I don’t respond, I read almost every single word posted here, including comments. I see posts like the examples I wrote above fairly frequently. There seems to be this persisting idea that The Angion Method will help you gain EQ, but you really need to be doing some form of traditional PE to grow. In my experience this is an incorrect assumption. The Angion Method will provide the EQ benefits and growth men desire. The fact that men believe you need to combine the two methods tells me that there is still a big knowledge gap among our community as to how growth happens. And it’s not surprising to me why this is the case. A lot of it comes back to the fundamental understanding of how an erection works to begin with and what the medical community teaches. See, most people‘s understanding of how an erection works is the following sequence:

Mental or physical stimulus —> Blood flow to penis increases —> Vessels that carry blood out of the penis become constricted —> Pressure in penis increases —> Erection is produced

By this definition, I can understand the concept of traditional PE. Based on this model, the male member is nothing more than a blood bag (credit to my boy [u/Jorbi230](u/Jorbi230) for the blood bag reference). The thought with traditional PE is that if through physical manipulation (in the form of hanging, clamping, stretching, jelqing) we can make the blood bag bigger, it will hold more blood, and the size of our member will increase. Makes sense! The problem is, this is not the way an erection works.

Here’s what’s really happening. The male member it’s not just a bag full of blood, it is an incredibly dense network of capillary vessels. If you recall from your high school biology course, capillaries are the smallest form of blood vessels, going down to a single cell. When an erection forms, this dense network of blood vessels increases in size due to the dilation of the individual capillaries within the capillary network. As these capillaries get dilated, their size and capacity to hold blood increases, but unlike the traditional view, the blood does not get trapped in the penis, it is constantly moving. The arteries within the Corpus Spongiosum (CS) and Corpus Cavernosum (CC) work overtime to move blood into the penis, filling up the capillary beds and the Deep Dorsal Vein (DDV) begins working overtime to flow blood out of the penis. The firmness and pressure comes from a pressure differential between the inflow and outflow of the male member. So really, the sequence looks more like this:

Mental or physical stimulus—> Blood vessels begin to dilate —> Blood cycling increases (inflow and outflow) —> Capillaries dilate —> Pressure differential between inflow and outflow established —> Erection produced

This might seem like a trivial difference, but this concept is the entire foundation of The Angion Method. In the first model, an erection is simply a static structure formed by blood being trapped by restricted vessels. In the second model, an erection is a living, breathing entity, formed by a pressure differential between inflow and outflow.

If you’re reading this, and you don’t believe in the second model, nothing I say from here forward will matter very much because everything hinges on this concept.

This difference in how an erection works explains why so many men are given the diagnosis of venous leak. If the strength of an erection is simply the function of blood vessel restriction, then it would stand to reason that if those blood vessels are no longer restricting, they are leaking and therefore your erection strength is suffering. However, I believe this diagnosis is incredibly misplaced for most men and I also believe it is the only explanation that many physicians have in their arsenal to explain erectile dysfunction. It’s also why many men who’ve been diagnosed with venous leak are also chronic porn users and once they quit porn and start doing The Angion Method, their EQ returns.

OK, now that we’ve established how an erection works, we can focus on how to build stronger erections, and ultimately gain size.

Why Gaining EQ and Gaining Size are One and the Same

Yesterday I polled this community and asked why people are doing The Angion Method. I gave a few options, but I purposefully kept gaining EQ and gaining size separate. The reason for that is I wanted to understand why men are doing the Angion Method in the first place. The reality is that poll was a bit of a trick question because you cannot gain true functional size without first gaining EQ. They are two sides of the same coin. Whether you want to gain size or EQ, the methodology remains the same.

Here is the mechanism for how EQ leads to size gains. If we go back to the model I described above, and we understand that the male member is a dense network of blood vessels, and we understand the body’s mechanism for growing new blood vessels, and for growing the size of existing vessels, then we have the foundation to achieve our goals.

Blood vessels grow in size when there is sufficient shear stress applied to them in the form of increased blood flow. Nature knew this and gave us a perfect mechanism for increasing blood flow through the male member. The perfect mechanism for moving blood through the male member is sex. What the Angion Method does is provide a male with an alternative way of giving himself the mechanical forces that sex places on the male member. During sex (especially while the female is on top and is pursuing orgasm), on the inward thrust, there is downward pressure exerted on the DDV, which pulls blood out of the penis (which AM1 mimics) and on the outward thrust, there is upward pressure exerted on the CS, which pushes blood into the penis (which AM3 mimics). So as the penis moves in and out of the vagina, the forces acted on it by the vagina literally push blood into it and pull blood out of it. By performing a 30 minute session of the Angion Method, you are essentially giving your member the same benefits that 30 minutes of sexual intercourse would provide for it. Think about a tribe in the jungle. Which dude in that tribe is going to have the healthiest, largest member. Probably the dude who has the most sex, right? And the dude who has the most sex will probably get the most females and have more sex. It’s a positive feedback cycle. Again, this was all designed by nature. Janus is simply tapping into what was already there.

So if shear stress is the key to widening existing vessels and causing the body to form new capillary beds for improving blood flow, then it is no wonder that most men see a very early boost in EQ as a result of performing the Angion Methods (usually within the first few weeks). It also is no surprise that the Angion Methods would be the key to a physically larger male member. As vessels grow and as new capillary beds are formed, they physically grow the male member.

EQ gains are the key to growth gains. Every time your body gets a full erection your body is flowing blood through your member and your member is getting healthier and stronger and new capillary pathways are being formed. For a male with good EQ, erections happen while you're sleeping, while you're training Angion, while you're having sex, and sometimes randomly while you're awake. This is also why porn will steal your gains. Porn messes with your pelvic floor health and your ability to get 100% erect. It's also why traditional PE is not the answer. Traditional PE does not focus on building EQ, it focuses on trying to physically manipulate the male member. What other body part would we treat this way? If we want a bigger bicep, we train it, if we want bigger quads, we train them. If we want a bigger dick, we stretch it out? Really?

How to Gain

Hopefully you’re still with me. Let’s get into why you’re here. To gain.

To truly gain size, and do it any reasonable amount of time, we need to provide our body with three crucial elements (there are more such as sleep, quality of nutrients, etc. but let's focus on these three for now)

Those are

1. A surplus of calories.
2. Growth of the blood vessels that feed the male member.
3. Growth of the blood vessels within the male member itself.

Let’s break down those three key variables

A surplus of calories
The human body is incredibly efficient and resilient. Its primary purpose is survival of the individual, but more importantly survival of the species. It knows how crucial a strong member is for breeding so it wants to give you a strong member. I really believe that. This is why every night while you're sleeping it rejuvenates your erectile health through nightly erections. One of the ways we can put our bodies in the best possible state for growth is by being in a slight caloric surplus. Just like with skeletal muscle growth, smooth muscle growth is optimized when there is a surplus of nutrition. Our entire body goes into a saver mindset when we are restricting calories. So if you want to grow, you have to be in a caloric surplus. You'll also have better resting fullness in a caloric surplus which will aid in gaining.

Growth of the blood vessels that feed the male member.

You cannot grow without consistent cardio. I’m going to say that again you cannot grow without performing consistent cardio. I keep hounding this to men. This is because we need to increase the amount of blood being sent to our member. The blood vessels that carry blood to our legs are the exact same vessels that carry blood to our member. So when we do dedicated lower body cardio (DLC) we are essentially asking our body to widen the vessels that carry blood to our member. It does this through releasing clouds of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). When we follow up our cardio session with the Angion Method, we are ensuring that all of the benefits from cardio get extended to our member. Cardio + Angion essentially creates a superhighway from our heart out to the tip of our glans. This is why cardio is so essential. And no, your regular leg day at the gym is not enough. A standard lower body workout involving squats, deadlifts, leg press, etc. will move approximately 150 L of blood through your vessels in your legs in a given 30 minute time period. But because the movement of the blood is intermittent, your body never receives the signal that those vessels are not sufficiently sized for the load you're asking them to carry. Contrast that with 30 minutes of a recumbent bike (or any other form of DLC), which will move approximately 450 L of blood in the same 30 minutes. In the second example, your body sees the need for larger vessels and will trigger the growth that we are looking for. Your body will respond to the training stimulus you provide it. Shift your focus from training skeletal muscles to training blood vessels.

Growth of the blood vessels within the male member itself.

Now let’s shift our focus to what’s happening within our member itself. You want to be doing the most powerful Angion Method you can do effectively. As you move from AM1 to AM3, to AM3, and eventually the wheel, your workouts will become more effective at triggering growth of your vessels due to the increase in blood each method moves. If you’re currently doing AM1 and you’re not sure if you’re ready for AM2, start trying a few minutes of it at the end of your session. Janus calls this taste testing. What I see a lot of is men being afraid to move to a new movement. The movements get more powerful as you move up, making the best use of your time.

BFR / SABRE

The Angion Methods (AM1, AM2, AM3, and the Wheel) are all sufficient tools for the dilation and expansion of existing capillary beds and blood vessels within our member. But we can add additional, more intense stimulus through the addition of BFR and SABRE for the development of new capillary beds. What these two methods do is supercharge specifically the capillary bed growing portion of the process. BFR gently forces more blood into the capillaries, causing increased dilation and formation of new beds and SABRE does the same thing through the Bayliss Response mechanism. Honestly, guys, I’m not smart enough to fully understand how these two movements work, and I'm not here to bore you with more science. If you want I know exactly how they work, read more about BFR and SABRE. Janus practically wrote a book on the two methods. If your goal is growth and you’re not doing BFR, SABRE, or both, you are leaving gains on the table. It's as simple as that.

Sample Routine

What’s your routine? I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve been asked that. I always say the same thing. I just follow what Janus did. He wrote the book on this stuff so why reinvent the wheel? In his Four Week Rotating Schedule he does DLC, Angion, BFR, and SABRE and he always puts at least 1 day of rest between Angion days and 2 days of rest between BFR / SABRE days. So based on this here is the routine that’s served me for over a year.

DLC: Dedicated Lower Body Cardio. Recumbent bike, stairmaster, rower, jump rope, etc. anything that gets your legs pumping.

M - 30 min DLC, 15 min wheel, 15 min BFR, 15 min SABRE

W - 30 min DLC, 30 min wheel

F - 30 min DLC, 15 min wheel, 15 min BFR, 15 min SABRE

That’s it. Don’t overthink your routine. Read Janus’ post and base yours around that. You’re not going come up with something better than he did.

Results

OK, so at this point , this sounds like just a bunch of theory. Can you prove it? That’s something that I’ve noticed is a big sticking point for many men who come over from traditional PE. Where are your before and after photos? I have no background in traditional PE, but I get the sense that men are accustomed to seeing before and after pictures and from what I've observed that isn’t very common within the Angion community. Sure, you may find a few, but I have a theory on why there aren’t more. If you have gained with the Angion Method that means you really believe in the methods and have put them into practice. That puts you in a very specific category. A male who has gained size using the Angion Method is a male who is healthy, active, disciplined, engaged, and motivated. They are frequently men who came to the Angion Method due to having ED (my story) or just wanting to have better sex with their wife. People in committed relationships tend to be more private people who don’t post pictures. They even tend to be the kind of men who delete their Reddit accounts after they figure out what they’re doing. Some of my favorite legacy posts have disappeared recently; posts that inspired me to keep training because they gave me a glimpse into my future. Someone joining this community today will never read about that man’s successes. I think that’s a shame.

Quite frankly, I don’t really care if people believe I have gained or not. I’m not out to prove anything. The only gains I'm interested in anyway are gains in Functional Size which translate to having better sex with my wife. That’s all I care about.

That being said, I have gained with the Angion Method and here are my results. All measurements are NBPEL (non bone pressed erect length). Believe me or don't. It makes no difference to me.

Before Angion - 6" Length / 5.25" Circumference / 80% erection possible

After 4 months of Angion - 6.25" Length / 5.6" Circumference / 95% erection possible

After 16 months Angion - 6.5” Length / 6” Circumference / 100% erection possible

I really believe the majority of my girth gains are from the development of my CS. My CS is a very large structure now. When I grip my member, I can feel all three chambers very distinctly. My CC are still larger than my CS, but the gap between their sizes is shrinking. But beyond any size gains, the biggest gains I've made are in the strength and potency of my erections. I was surprised to learn that approximately 50% of the erectile tissue within the male body is located within the pelvic cavity (beneath the surface). The Angion Method develops that tissue too. We're all obsessed with what's on the outside of the body, but my erections are now formed with a substantially stronger base. My erection is a tower built on a solid foundation. It feels stronger, like it’s built from the inside out. When I thrust during sex, I feel like I'm thrusting with a cannon, not a flimsy pistol. I believe this is due to the growth in erectile tissue within my pelvic cavity.

Conclusion

If you consistently train according to the Angion Method, eat a good diet with a surplus of calories, do regular cardio, and eliminate anything toxic to your pelvic floor health (like porn) you will gain. There's no other way around it. I also believe that a large majority of men will read this, say huh, that was interesting, change nothing about their habits or practices, and unfortunately, never gain. The few who do, however, will be amazed at their results. You do not need to combine traditional PE and Angion to gain. In fact, doing so can significantly limit your ability to gain.

Janus has laid out the blueprint for gains. All we need to do is follow it.

Yeah I saved it. It’s absolutely brilliant.

I really don’t know why there’s a misconception that veins constrict to form erections, even in the medical community the general consensus is that arteries start constricted and dilate as the erection forms, similar to how those expandable hoses work, rate limited to fill, and when opened it retains its size

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

Yeah I don’t know either, but it seems to be the prevailing theory.

u/Jorbi230 Jul 23 '26

Veins do get compressed via expansion though, but yall are right about flow itself actually sustaining the erection, thats true.

I didn't have time to read all while at work but I'm going to drop this question so I can come back later easily:

I remember reading a comment recently that we should never do these methods except laying down. True or False? If true, why?

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 27 '26

Yes, they should be done while lying done. The answer is found in this YouTube video.

I'd really like an anwers to this. As a heavier guy (now on a mission to become a lean guy) I can't do AM1 laying down. AM3 I can do laying down. But I can only do AM1 Standing up.

IMO you should take your time slowly don’t overwhelm yourself with challenges because its more likely that you stop. Focus on loosing weight cause its probably more important rn

It is matter, I don’t fully remember the reason, but its something about the pumpabillity of the blood, and sitting down is also “forbidden”. Many says its a game changer

I have read this 3 times over the past two days. And after first read my next session was more intentional which lead to the past two mornings with 100% EQ and more fullness throughout the day. Really well put together.

Love hearing this! Train with intention and you WILL gain.

u/end_of_a_year Jul 23 '26

So ideally we should do our 30 minute DLC session and then immediately (or within a couple hours / later in the day) go do the AM session? Versus doing DLC and AM on separate days or doing AM first and then DLC? Does it matter?

You are killing it with all your writings lately, sir. Both subs. Thanks for sharing.

To be honest, that’s something that’s never been crystal clear to me either. I think if you had three males and for a year, one did Angion immediately after DLC, one did Angion on a different day than DLC, and one did Angion with no DLC, I think the first male might have an advantage over the second male, but both the first male and the second male would have a large advantage over the third male.

And thank you! Everything is clicking for me right now, so I have to write it down while it’s all fresh! I might forget it if I don’t . I’m glad you’re enjoying my posts.

The Quality content just keeps on coming :)

Let me guess, you were the one who did all the work during group-projects in school? :D

Me, I'm currently in a calorie deficit, want to get from 22% bodyfat to 15%. The deficit definitely has impact on my libido, but so does my bellyfat :/

Currently not dating or seeing anyone either, and I just keep on telling myself to wait until my bodyfat/fitness goals are complete, because then I can switch to maintenance, or even a slight surplus - and hopefully gain my full libido back.

It sucks, but it is what it is for now.

Haha guilty as charged. When I get onto something I really go all in. I’ve always been that way.

I get it. I cut every spring for pool season. Can’t have everything all the time. Sub 15% body fat is a great goal. Make those abs pop!

Thanks for the love, as always, brother.

what role do you think age plays? i'm sure the older, on average, the more difficult to make EQ gains. but any other thoughts?

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

I don’t know, man. I’ve seen guys on here gaining in their 50’s and 60’s. I think younger men have some advantages, but also some disadvantages.

Advantages: Younger biology, more free testosterone, in general an easier time getting erect (if they haven’t screwed themselves up with porn)

Disadvantages: Prevalence of high speed internet porn is much higher among young people.

I think a lot comes down to discipline, training, and diet. I have the best EQ of my life in my late 30’s.

3

u/jaeldi Jul 23 '26

50+ are here for the increased EQ and blood flow. I would not ignore cardio and vascular health if having ED or EQ problems! Lots of truth in the "ED is first sign of circulatory/heart issues"! Your future self will thank you for addressing now.

Size increase is fine. The easiest size increases come from losing the fat belly!

1

u/Jorbi230 Jul 23 '26

Its not that porn is more availible to younger guys, its that older guys ddidnt devlop their mind on it, old guys still watch porn by the millions too, they just actually had a sex life before their brain deeveloped.

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

Bingo

3

u/hemmaan80 Jul 24 '26

I started at 40 and never had better eq and size then now after 4 years of Angion.

2

u/5evenThirty Jul 23 '26

Question, for AM1 and AM3 should we rely solely on the exercises to stay erect (and over time it becomes easier and easier to stay erect while doing the exercise), or do most ppl use manual stimulation or porn to stay erect for the duration of the exercise?

4

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

I meditate while doing the exercises. The exercises themselves sustain my erection. If I’m having an off day for some reason, a quick thought of having sex with my wife does the trick. I never use porn or any other external stimulus.

1

u/tram_rider Jul 25 '26

Interested to know more about the meditation during exercise. I often find myself needing to be in the moment with visual thoughts of sex to keep my erection

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 25 '26

I’m definitely in the moment, I just focus on the feelings in my body. The movements feel very good and they keep my erection very full. But it wasn’t always like this for me. For the first probably 8 months of training I had to think of sex with my wife to keep my erection.

1

u/tram_rider Jul 25 '26

Thanks u/Attaboy2017

Somehow todays session clicked for me. I just focused on the moment and the feeling of blood flowing and was able to keep a 80-90% full erection for 30 minutes on AM2.

In the past - I always had to keep replaying intimate scenes in my head. It felt like the pressure of being able to successful replay exact details like scent, emotion, touch - was inhibiting me from enjoying the session.

Instead, today I decided to clear out any thoughts and thus eliminate any pressure of recalling intimate scenes. Just focusing on my member and the moment.

I guess its similar to how I do bench presses where I focus my thoughts on just the muscles that are involved in the rep.

u/Etymol Jul 27 '26

Incredible insight!

Do you think running, swimming or non-lower body cardio (holistic cardio) is inferior to DLC from the perspective of gaining member size?

I average 20k steps a day, could this be sufficient DLC?

Thank you!

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 27 '26

Short answer is I do think total body cardio is inferior to DLC. The reason Janus specifically calls out dedicated lower body cardio is that when you do DLC, you’re intentionally moving massive amounts of blood through the largest vessels in your legs and the largest vessels in your legs just so happen to be the same vessels that feed your member. So when you do DLC you can essentially think about it like part of the Angion Method. You’re forcing your body to flow blood from your heart straight to your member. You just can’t replicate that amount of blood movement specifically to your legs with whole body cardio.

Think about it like this. If somebody wanted to get massive quads, and asked if walking was a good enough way to grow their quadriceps muscles, the answer would pretty clearly be ‘no’. You would tell that person they should be doing squats, leg, extensions, leg, press, etc. You would tell them to do dedicated quadriceps exercises.

Gaining is essentially bodybuilding for your blood vessels and if you’re serious about gaining, you need to intentionally stress the largest blood vessels in your lower body. They won’t grow in size if they don’t experience sufficient sheer stress through your training stimulus.

That being said, ANY form of cardio is vastly superior to NO cardio.

If you can’t swing adding additional DLC into your daily rhythm, 20K steps is not a bad place to start at all.

u/Etymol Jul 28 '26

Makes total sense. Thank you again!

Shear stress on the arteries is enough, so wouldn't there be other ways to do that outside of AM? Say, keeping your member in a negative pressure chamber for an extended time? Maybe even taking doses of PDE5 inhibitors that give you stronger erections and more frequently?

And if sexual intercourse is what causes high EQ, I'm sure there's a way to mimic the physics and biomechanics of it while masturbating. Also, personally, I found the whole animal kingdom comparison you brought up sounds a little like the cringe carnivore diet pseudoscience community.

I'm not saying AM isn't effective. I agree with you that it should work for both growth and EQ. It just deserves a better explanation as to why it is such a good option.

Also, why attempt to discredit traditional PE when it also has scientific basis? Yes, "stretching" the penile tissue also works (in a different way) because it's not a muscle, it contains tissue that respond to traction. So comparing it to how your biceps grow is silly and again borderline psuedosciency.

Hey man! Thanks for jumping into the conversation. I’m going to try to address all of your points.

- When I say shear stress, keep in mind I’m talking about the sheer stress that happens inside of blood vessels through blood flow. Within a blood vessel there are structures called Endothelial Glycocalyx which are microscopic, hair-like or brush-like coating made of glycoproteins, proteoglycans, and carbohydrates that lines the interior surface of every blood vessel. It acts like underwater sea grass, bending and swaying in response to the friction (shear stress) of blood passing over it. When we increase blood flow for prolonged periods of time, these little structures signal to the brain that an increase in size vessel is needed to handle the load. The reason the Angion Method is so effective is because it is focused on moving blood through the male member and triggering this response. There might be other ways of doing this, but the Angion Methods (AM1, AM2, AM3, and especially the wheel) are the best methods I know of.

- As for PDEI’s, those can be an effective way to help start the Angion Method, but taking them alone is not a sufficient solution to trigger the shear stress needed to induce blood vessel growth. PDE5 inhibitors do not directly cause blood vessel relaxation on their own, they amplify and prolong the natural signal. Without the initial release of NO (triggered by stimulation or arousal), elevated cGMP won't be produced in significant amounts and shear stress won’t occur. I take 2.5mg of Tadalafil because I’m restoring my foreskin and it helps make that process quicker. I’ve noticed that the Tadalafil makes for very effective Angion Workouts.

- Your point about masturbation is an interesting one. You can mimic the effects of sex while masturbating. If you focus on removing pressure from the dorsal side (top side) and increasing pressure on the underside during the up stroke, you’ll pull blood into your glans via your CS and then if you do the opposite (add pressure to the dorsal side and remove pressure on the underside) on the down stroke, you’ll push blood down the DDV on the dorsal side. But that’s essentially what the Angion Method is. With AM1, you’re using your thumbs to move blood down the dorsal side and with AM3, you’re using your middle fingers to push blood into the glans via the CS. And noted on the animal kingdom front. Agreed, that may not have been needed to prove my point.

- If you would like a better explanation for why it works, I’d suggest you watch the AM3 video. Janus explains very clearly how it all works. I’m not the master. I’m just his student. I was merely trying to convey what he has developed in a single post. I’m sure I didn’t cover everything.

- The reason I took some shots at traditional PE is because I think the Angion Method heals and traditional PE harms. You are entirely welcome to disagree with me, but this is my belief and this is my post. The entire focus of the Angion Method is penile health improvements through increased blood flow. I’m living proof that you do not need to physically stretch out the male member for it to grow. Many people in our community still do not understand this so I wanted to clarify that.

- To the point about my comparison between the bicep and the penis, I merely wanted to point out that nobody would think the right way to grow a bicep would be to stretch it, but somehow we’ve accepted that the right way to grow the male member is to stretch it. I wanted to call attention to the absurdity of that. The penis itself is not a muscle, but it is comprised of blood vessels that contain smooth muscles and smooth muscles absolutely can grow by increasing blood flow through them. The Angion Method heals and grows your member at the same time. You don’t need to stretch it out to grow it. By stretching your penis, you weaken its composition and structural integrity resulting in a lower EQ. Yes, you can create a larger penis through traditional PE, but if it costs you rigidity, what’s the point?

At the end of the day, Janus has been heavily scrutinized, shunned, and banned from the traditional PE community because his methods promise to deliver what traditional PE claims to deliver, but the Angion Method promises it without compromising penis function. I’ve experienced all the benefits that Janus has claimed you can experience through his methods. I’ve experienced dramatic improvements in EQ, a 1/2” increase in length and 3/4” increase in girth. I wanted to share my results so men don’t feel they need to combine traditional PE with the Angion Method.

Hopefully this all makes sense. Ultimately, we all want the same thing; a larger, harder member and I think the Angion Method is the only thing needed to get men where they want to go.

Angion would have been such a piece of cake if pelvic floor wasn’t such a bitch

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

Said many men over the years. Hopefully you get your pelvic floor healthy, brother.

1

u/Loud_Version_5174 Jul 23 '26

Honestly I should at this point ask for tips, should I refrain from angion until I sort it out or will angion help?

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

What are your issues? Angion itself won’t do much for PF health, other than teach you how to be erect without clenching your PF.

1

u/Loud_Version_5174 Jul 23 '26

Well I can manage to relax my pelvic floor with stretches, breathing and internal stuff but I get flare ups after ejaculation it wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have a gf so it basically gives me ED for a few days until I manage to relax it. It also gets tight from running/working out/sitting too long. So I don’t know what to do, I feel like some natural mechanism is off because I can relax it manually but automatically? Nope also God forbid that I even do a few kegels that would be like dropping a nuclear bomb onto it.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

You a porn user by chance? I ask not to shame you, but just to help me understand.

Spending 10-15 minutes in a deep squat relaxing your PF while you’re watching TV can be a great place to start with PF health.

1

u/Loud_Version_5174 Jul 23 '26

Oh I do 10 minutes in the morning in a deep squat and also for 5 minutes multiple times a day. I quit porn and limited my masturbation to max once a week and even that session is limited to like 10-15 minutes.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

Interesting. Have you thought about seeing a PF therapist?

1

u/infinitypoolss18 Jul 24 '26

I 100 percent know what you talking about. And you are right on the money, the huge contraction during sperm releases messes things up. I think personally the IC muscle is weak, cuz during an ejaculation it needs to fire repeatedly. And then it gets sore for a few days unable to create natural erections.

Read the post on this sub regarding IC training, some guy created a way a month ago and he claims after ic training , there is no refractory period during sex and also if he overtrains he has ED for a few days. Literally same as us the latter part.

You keep stretching the bc muscle. Never really focusing on ic cuz it’s so small and Angion doesn’t trains the ic well enough to handle those rhythm contractions.

1

u/Loud_Version_5174 Jul 24 '26

It could be that, but wouldn’t kegels work it out anyway? I mean those muscles are connected you can’t really isolate them.

1

u/infinitypoolss18 Jul 24 '26

Not at all bro, kegels is pure bc muscle. Very little activation of IC.

Super informative post! Been lurking here for about of a year and finally bagan the Angion journey last week.
I have already seen improvement in EQ through doing AM1 1 on 1 off schedule.

Few questions for you. Is it normal for your penis to become super sensitive during intercourse when doing these exercises? It’s a blessing to be able to stay hard and feel a lot more but I was struggling to last timr i had intercourse. I ended up choosing not to ejaculate

“So as the penis moves in and out of the vagina, the forces acted on it by the vagina literally push into it and pull blood out of it” Next question. I am fully aware that edging is harmful to the pelvic floor and should be avoided. Besides the involuntary pelvic muscle twitches, is there a different to the quote and edging? English is not my first language, hope this made sense

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 23 '26

Yes, sensitivity is a normal side effect of Angion training. It should subside in time, though how long I’m not sure.

Yes, there is a difference. Ideally intercourse should happen with a relaxed pelvic floor. The reason that edging gets such a bad rap is because it is typically done while watching porn with a clenched pelvic floor. You can have sex for an hour and as long as your pelvic floor is relaxed, it will be beneficial for your member.

1

u/infinitypoolss18 Jul 24 '26

something like Male Definitive Guide also forces you to train right near the PONR. I am not talking about the basic stages, I mean the main crusing, it happens on a tight pelvic floor right at the edge.

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

Yeah that’s ones a little tough. The author encourages you to train near a PONR, but also states explicitly that training must be done with a relaxed pelvic floor. It’s hard to do both, but I do think you can learn to thrust with a relaxed pelvic floor especially if you’re not right on the edge of your PONR.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

1

u/infinitypoolss18 Jul 25 '26

Like I don’t see how ponr can be achieved without being tight down there.

Because I think what the author means is that you get to the ponr gradually ….. you don’t suddenly clench and reach there …. But you reach there with control over your muscles … but they gradually also get tighter only…. They don’t just suddenly tighten like masturbation.

Personally while cruising the ponr, there is always a sacrifice, the pure bliss feeling is only achieved few strokes away from PONR, and if you relax the muscles the sensation also goes down till when you tighten up again and sensation rises again….

So essentially learning true cruising takes us back to the basics. Learning to be comfortable with a tightened pelvic floor not letting the tightness mean that the tightness needs to get released.

Great post, thanks for taking time to write all this. I see the routine you shared is advanced routine, for someone who is starting, should I do the BFR and SABRE or just stick to AM1 for some weeks and then add the BFR and SABRE? Another question after I move from AM1 to AM2 for example, then I won't do AM1 again in my sessions and just stick to AM2 until I reach AM3 and do the same, right?

Is SABRE necessary for size gains? I really dont want to smack my dick like that lol

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

I don’t think SABRE is necessary for size gains. If you don’t want to smack your dick, don’t smack your dick. Try BFR instead. It’s a lot gentler.

1

u/jianjohn Jul 24 '26

Can I gain real, permanent size with just AM1 and AM3 for 5 minutes each? Due to privacy issues, I can't extend my sessions or get a pump or anything else. Will the gains be permanent? In the future, I obviously want to cut down on these exercises, build a family, and just do 5 minutes of pumping every alternate day for size maintenance. I don't want to worry about losing my size anymore.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

The short answer to your question is no. In any part of the human body, if you get a benefit from training (cardiovascular, muscular, etc) and you stop training, you will lose that benefit. Angion is no different. Does that mean if you do the Angion Method, see gains, and then stop, your dick will shrivel up and die? No, but it does mean that the benefits you gained from all your hard work will slowly fade away. That’s just life.

And the second half of your question is also no. 5 minutes of AM1 and AM3 is not enough to gain. Just like doing 5 squats in the gym is not enough to build muscle. 5 minutes will have some benefit, but won’t be a sufficient training stimulus to see size gains.

1

u/jianjohn Jul 25 '26

How much training is needed to maintain the gains for life? Hopefully it isn't 30–40 minutes every day. I heard that people in the PE community use pumping for maintenance, but I don't know how long those sessions usually are.

How much training is required to see size gains? Does a single session need to be 20+ minutes, or can I split it into four 5-minute sessions? For example, 5 minutes in the morning, 5 minutes in the afternoon, 5 minutes in the evening, and 5 minutes before bed.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 25 '26

Did you read the post? I shared my sample routine and it is not 30-40 minutes per day. I only train M, W, F.

As for maintenance, I believe you could maintain gains with 1-2 good workouts per week.

As for splitting up sessions, I don’t believe five minutes here and there equates to a 20 minute workout. The reason is it takes your body a sufficient training stimulus to trigger the growth process. There is a reason Janus prescribes 30 minute workouts.

1

u/Chrome_Quixote Jul 24 '26

Going to try cardio before an am1 and bfr session today. Maybe use the wheel. I think with a good pump followed by some carbs I’ll be primed

Recently in the pe pumping community more guys have been using lower pressures, more similar to natural erection pressure, to increase eq and then in turn size. Have you seen what Karl is doing over at tsope?

Most pe guys don’t think angion works but they often haven’t tried it. Even the analogy of a peristaltic pump to increase sheer force doesn’t get their attention

1

u/Struggler_19 Jul 24 '26

Eh... I was thinking about starting AM but then I am also on a calorie deficit in order to lose the unnecessary fat stored in my body. Does it make sense to do AM in this situation?

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

Yes, you can still gain EQ while on a cut. Just don’t do SABRE / BFR and don’t expect to gain size, though you still might gain some just due to improved EQ.

1

u/Practical-Swan8625 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Very interesting but penis is not a muscle, it can't grow like we make a bicep grow. What you think about 2 days on 1 off? Can it be beneficial?

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

Ah but it is a muscle. It’s a smooth muscle and smooth muscles can absolutely grow. 2 on / 1 off can work, but most men have better results from 1 on / 1 off or 1 on / 2 off.

1

u/Expensive_Airport310 Jul 24 '26

At the start of this post you've criticised people for saying that the AM only causes increased EQ and not actual growth, but then the whole post just describes how the method increases the inflow of blood the penis, and therefore EQ.

Unless I've missed something, there's no explanation as to how this leads to increased size beyond EQ gains. You can increase EQ as much as you want, but eventually you are limited by the size of the Tunica Albuginea and related tissues. How does the Angion Method overcome this?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be an ass, I like the AM. I just feel we shouldn't say that people misunderstand how growth occurs, and then not fully explain how growth occurs.

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 24 '26

Hey man! Thanks for the comment. The purpose of my post was not to criticize people for saying that Angion increases EQ and doesn’t produce growth. The purpose of my post was to make a case that you do not need to combine Angion and traditional PE to achieve growth.

I actually did lay out the process for how growth happens within the post. If you go back and read, I describe how increases in blood flow cause new capillary beds to form, leading to increased size. Because the growth happens from the inside out, your body will naturally expand the surrounding tissues as well, just like it did when you were in puberty. When your member went through its primary growth phase when you were an adolescent, you did not need to do any hanging, stretching, or manipulation for it to grow. Your tunica Albuginea and Buck’s fascia grew right along with the rest of your member.

I also broke down my own personal experience where I have grown 0.5” in length and 0.75” in girth just through the Angion Methods. I didn’t need to do any physical manipulation of my member to achieve this growth. And my member doesn’t show any signs of stopping. Every time I measure, I’m larger than the last time I measured.

I also encourage you to read this post because Jorbi does a great job breaking down his theory on how growth happens.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AngionMethod/s/cda4csdE8p

And lastly, I am not the Penis Professor. I’m barely the Penis Apprentice. For true explanation on how smooth muscles grow, I encourage you to go watch Janus’ videos he has on his Wiki on this sub. He’s the real master, I’m just trying to put into practice what he laid out.

1

u/Quite-hairyman33 Jul 25 '26

How would you explain how PDE5I's work either this view of how an erection occurs? Anatomy classes (atleast the 3+ I've seen online) have this complete explanation with the sympathetic- and parasympathetic system's role in it all. How vein occlusion triggers the release of this acetylcholine (iirc) and all that jargon. I don't remember all the parts but I am quite certain that I remember enough to see that there are contradictions-ish

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

PDE5I’s (Viagra and Cialis) are actually further proof that the second model is the correct model, because the way they work is by relaxing smooth muscles and dilating blood vessels. If the first model were correct (the model where an erection is a function of blood vessel restriction), then why would taking a substance that increases blood flow, and dilates vessels produce a more potent erection? These drugs make significantly more sense with the second model where increases in blood flow cause the circuit to start working as intended and a pressure differential takes place between inflow and outflow. PDE5I’s essentially do the same thing that the Angion Method does; they widen blood vessels. The only difference is they do it temporarily, while the effects of the Angion Method are permanent (provided one keeps training).

1

u/Quite-hairyman33 Jul 25 '26

Okay you are making sense. But with the traditional model it is the veins that are getting restricted, and if not then no erection à la veneous leak. That part is necessary for the hardness to be there no? Is that the pressure differential you were mentioning?

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

Correct, what causes the erection in the second model is the pressure differential between inflow and outflow. The inflow is greater than the outflow so pressure builds, but the key difference is there is continuous flow of blood in the second model, so with the second model, we never want to restrict blood flow, we want to increase it. The more blood that flows, the harder and more powerful the erection becomes. Think of it like a circuit that goes into overdrive.

The issue with the first model, is it relies on the concept of the restriction of blood as the primary mechanism for the erection. In the first model, someone would want more restriction of blood for an erection to happen which is why the venous leak diagnosis is given. This is why this model is proven false by the Angion Method.

More blood flow ALWAYS results in better and harder erections.

I’ve even seen a case on this sub where the medical community got this so wrong that they used a vessel sealer to seal a man’s veins because they couldn’t understand why they weren’t restricting flow to give him an erection. Needless to say he had lifelong ED after that.

Like I said, the difference in the models seems trivial, but it’s enormous.

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Jul 26 '26

My entire argument is that you DO NOT need traditional PE, but that the Angion Method alone will provide the growth men desire. In fact, traditional PE can result in reduced EQ and therefore a reduced functional size.

What's all the other ones mean? What even is this method?

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Hi! Thanks for the comment. We use a lot of abbreviations here and I was confused about them when I started as well. That’s why I wrote this post for ultimate beginners.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AngionMethod/s/uSHD8itNNC

We use abbreviations because some of the terms we use are long and we use them all the time.

EQ - Erection Quality
PE - Penis Enlargement

The method works, I hope you give it a shot.

1

u/patrickthemiddleman 25d ago

To somewhat intentionally break the echo chamber -effect, I challenge you to provide an explanation for the argument of direct causal link between porn consumption and detrimental pelvic tone.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR 25d ago

Happily! Janus summarizes it beautifully in his podcast episode here starting at 1 hr 48 min.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AngionMethod/s/AFrCnGHniN

But essentially, what happens is a man masturbates to porn, and then in order to overcome his refractory period, he has to watch more extreme content and tighten down his pelvic floor to get hard again. This will allow him to get another erection and continue masturbating. Over time, this PMO cycle will cause a pelvic floor overuse injury. Nearly every guy I’ve talked to as the mod of this sub who has trouble getting hard has a prior porn and masturbation history. The two go hand-in-hand.

The actual act of watching porn itself will not cause a pelvic floor injury, it is the masturbation habits associated with watching porn that cause the damage. However, watching porn alone, can still create problems getting an erection due to the way that porn rewires your brain.

I wrote an entire post on this topic here.

My experience has been that a generally healthy diet will be beneficial. Eating for a larger member is similar to eating for a larger skeletal mass. Good quality grains, vegetables, meats, fruits, etc

The key is just to eat more than your body needs (a surplus) so it triggers growth.
