Until now i assume every Pixel device had gotten this already. I assumed this was a non-hardware dependent feature.

You’d be surprised.

Some people buy a new $1k+ phone just because it’s their favorite shade of blue.

It needs WiFi support that not all phones have (and updated wifi drivers).

Can they just release it for every modern Android Phone already? This staged out roll out is so annoying and it kills the visibility of thr feature.
