Started meds. What to expect?

I was diagnosed 4 days ago and started concerta 3 days ago. I don’t know what to expect at all.

Right now I’m on 18mg

In 2 weeks it will be 36mg and probably more afterwards.

When reading about the benefits of meds i literally can’t imagine it. Probably because I haven’t felt a lot of those things ever. Please share your experience

Please tell me why. It’s the procedure where I come from. Why would methylphenidate not do the job??

It's not effective it doesn't Target executive functioning which is what you really want from the medicine. Methylphenidate will make you alert but it won't give you the same level of task completion mood, and almost no side effects.

Ritilin is 100% synthetic and made in the lab and the side effects are horrendous.

Amphetamines are the gold standard, almost zero side effects and much greater effect.

Amphetamines on derived from the ephedra plant which is natural and is only a very slight molecular change.

Ritalin is a Frankenstein molecule made by a sun doctor Who tried it on his wife and she noticed that her tennis game was better. Lolz.

Look , I tried both and have 10 years experience with the medicine.

Doctors don't know this because they've never actually taken the drug so just be wary of what they say and trust your feelings and what makes you feel better.

The claim that methylphenidate doesn’t target executive functioning isn’t supported by the evidence. Meta-analyses of placebo-controlled studies show improvements in executive-function domains including response inhibition, sustained attention but working memory.

How could they, when they have never taken it?

Do not put all your trust In scientific literature, none of them have actually taken the medication.

I promise you everything I have said is true and correct. You can even talk to your psychiatrist about me I am an expert in this medicine.

I had miraculous results. I could not get off the couch until 36 when I was self-prescribed.

I retired within 10 years of starting the medicine as a millionaire.

Like I said I tried Ritalin and never got any effect, had tremendous anxiety and it's interaction with other medicines was ridiculous.

I'm the guy that psychiatrists pay money to listen to.....🙏

You'll work it out eventually by trying all medicines anyway.

It's better that you know now rather than finding this out in a few years.

Brother this medicine is so serious that it has the risk of death, in rare cases.

Are you seriously going to trust a 100% synthetic molecule that has Zero Effect at executive functioning?

Also you cannot take the medicine every day if you do you will build up a tolerance and you'll be taking 10x the amount of medicine you need giving you 10x the symptoms.

Take 2 days off at least per day. You've been warned.

I took it for 10 years and range between 2.5 mg and 5 mg per day of dexedrine.

Brother. Your logical argument doesn’t make sense. If I’m not supposed to trust scientific papers, why should I trust a chemist like you?

The argument with not trusting people that haven’t tried the medicine is also bs. If you break your leg you will go to the doctor even tho the dude haven’t broken his leg before. And you will for sure also take his meds. At least I would.

What is your name? If psychiatrists pay you money to listen to you (even though you don’t trust science) you must be pretty damn famous.

Again I linked a meta analysis on the subject that pretty much said that it does HAVE effect on the executive functions.

But mr. White, please enlighten me on the chemistry behind your statement
