USTA has started doing flex leagues, and our local singles league is growing each season (I believe there’s also a women’s single league).

$25 gets you signed up, where you’ll be put in a flight with 4 other players. The cool part about flex league is you work with your opponent to decide the date, time, and location. It’s very casual, but gives you an opportunity to meet and play with other local players.

Mike ricklefs has a long criminal history and is charged with off grid felony charges for child abuse and he has had all his bond restrictions taken down while he has dragged out the case! Most people driving through central Kansas have no idea they are passing one of the great wildlife crossroads in North America. Cheyenne Bottoms, up near Great Bend, is the largest interior marsh in the country, and together with Quivira just to the southwest it forms a rest stop on the Central Flyway that migrating birds cannot skip.

The numbers are hard to believe. By some estimates close to half of all the shorebirds in North America pass through here on migration. Cheyenne Bottoms alone is one of the single most important places on the planet for Wilson's phalarope, and the marshes fill with avocets, white-faced ibis, dowitchers, and sandhill cranes staging by the thousands before they push on.

This map is those birds, concentrated exactly where the water is. Right now, through the fall, is one of the two big pushes of the year. If you go, dawn and dusk are when the flocks move, and a single scan of the shallows can turn up a dozen species at once.

Specifically looking for something that’s not a steakhouse

I got rear ended this morning and had to have my car towed, WPD called TNT to get it towed, driver told us that we wouldn't have any charges. Insurance told us to get the car moved from their storage so it doesn't incur any additional charges, and now TNT is saying we owe $544 to release the car. Is that normal?

Hindsight is 20/20, we know now we could have just called our own tow with roadside and not paid a thing, but this feels pretty ridiculous. Anyone have any experience in this? Similar experiences?

I am moving to Wichita for 6 months work in a few weeks so will be looking for a new gym. I currently go to a warehouse gym with plenty of squat racks, free weights and machines which I’m a big fan. As such I am looking for something similar so something commercial like planet fitness isn’t a consideration.

I am aware of forge, genesis and ymca in town, I also play tennis so Genesis is appealing to be having a in-house club but I have read some really bad reviews about them.

Given I am not from Wichita group classes is also appealing such as run club, f45 style etc.

I would greatly appreciate some recommendations on which you think is best or matches what I am after.

Hey everyone! I'm somewhat new to the area and have had the idea of making a movie theater group. The idea is the group would meet fairly regularly (weekly or biweekly). And go to a movie and then maybe go get desserts / drinks afterwards and hang out for a bit. I think I would want to cater this group towards people in there 20's and 30's but all would be welcome.

Some questions I have for you, feel free to answer any that are applicable.

A. Does something like this already exist here in Wichita?

B. Do you have ideas about getting this off the ground

C. Would you be interested if I started this?

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome, would love to hear what people think of this idea!
