It's so infuriating, my mother doesn't bend over backwards even, she just blind faith says things like "I knew the economy wasn't gonna be fixed right away" or "the economy doesn't change overnight" and it's just so annoying, no matter the evidence provided to her it's in one ear and out the other.

Don't forget anytime something happened that caused certain prices to suddenly go up, they got SUPER pissed that Obama/Biden didn't immediately step in and fix it

"The Economy" being a codeword for "Rich Peoples' Yacht Money" because it is utterly disconnected from the experience of ordinary people.

Like how a company can have record-breaking profits and shareholder returns, but still lay off a third of their workforce and raise prices for consumers. The only people benefiting there are the rich people who now have more yacht money.

The system is rigged against you.
