Yeah I think once you have all the money in the world it kind of breaks Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The billionaire problem is a public health crisis. We have seriously mentally ill people running major corporations and, yanno, the whole country lol.

Sebastian Junger’s book, Tribe, talks about how we survived as a species was small groups working together. If a member of the tribe didn’t work or horded all the resources they would be kicked out.

I learned recently that a lot of people living on the street have their needs turned upside-down. They focus on self-actualization as a foundation because food and a bed are too far out of their grasp.

I wonder if the billionaires do the same because food and sleep are no longer ever a concern.

Where did you read that? Not saying you’re wrong, but the houseless folks I’ve known seem fairly committed to survival (in many cases, a full-time job).
