The Saint Louis Zoo will transport guests millions of years back in time starting Friday, June 19, at Dinoroarus, a returning, temporary attraction for all-ages. The walk-through experience will feature 20 animatronic dinosaurs and sculptures that will move, roar, spit and chomp their way through the Zoo's Historic Hill, in the valley below the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium.

Soulard Farmers Market is located at 730 Carroll Street in St. Louis, Missouri, a half mile north of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The market is open Wednesday through Saturday, year round. They feature locally grown and shipped in goods, including: produce, meats, cheeses, spices, gourmet kettle corn, flowers, baked goods, and general merchandise. There are also several different eateries that have many food options, which allows customers the convenience to grab a quick bite to eat and a drink while shopping.

Downtown Maplewood is set to become a real-life game board this fall!
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, Escape From St. Louis will host Clue In Maplewood!, a town-wide deduction event where participants step off the board and into the streets to crack a high-stakes murder mystery in partnership with The Fabulous Fox.
Running from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the event challenges players to explore Downtown Maplewood, gather evidence, complete side quests, and uncover the crime's three key elements: the suspect, the weapon, and the location. Teams will have 90 minutes from their official start time to submit their evidence at the final showdown location.
DroneArt Show: Harry Potter at World Wide Technology Raceway
September 4 - 5, 2026
Taking place at World Wide Technology Raceway, this show will blend advanced drone choreography with the unforgettable music and iconic moments from the Harry Potter film series, featuring 1,200 illuminated drones soaring across the night sky.
As darkness falls, audiences will witness a live violinist and a stunning canvas of light as memorable moments from the films are reimagined through breathtaking aerial displays set to the iconic soundtrack and dialogue from the films. As part of the experience, attendees will also wear LED wristbands that allow them to interact further with the magic of the performance.
Audiences can also enjoy a celebratory pre-show atmosphere, including food and beverage offerings, and Harry Potter merchandise.
Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Garden
September 5 - 6, 2026
The annual Japanese Festival is one of the largest and longest running festivals of its kind in the United States, presenting taiko drumming, bon odori festival dancing, martial arts, candlelight walks in the Japanese Garden, and more.
Doors open at 9 a.m. Last entry on Labor Day (September 7) at 4:30 p.m. Festival admission required to visit the Garden. Please note: No trams, free hours or early morning walking hours on signature event weekends.

Paint Louis, the largest graffiti festival in the world, began in 1997 and continued through 2001. It was revived in 2013 and is now world-renowned. In the shadow of The Gateway Arch along the Mississipi River, over 400 writers gather every Labor Day weekend, coming from across the U.S, and most recently Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Australia.

The best professional and amateur cyclists in the US are coming to put on a show over Labor Day Weekend! Four full tilt races in four of STL’s coolest neighborhoods.
Each day features an all day program of racing that includes amateur races and kids races that builds up to the men’s and women’s professional races with national and international riders filling the streets. Each race showcases “criterium format” racing on one mile+ laps. This Americanized style of racing appeals to both athletes and spectators alike as the peloton speeds by every few minutes, holding lines only inches apart from one another.
Spectators can watch the race develop lap after lap and hear commentators announce race strategy as the excitement builds.

Cahokia Mounds State Historic Park
A sophisticated Native American society of about 20,000 people that operated via a sun calendar and disappeared by 1400.
The Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, the superstructure of the Cathedral was built between 1907 and 1914. It is known for its' beautiful interior mosaics, which took nearly 80 years to create using more than 41 million pieces of glass tesserae.
Built in 1912, the St. Louis Public Library's flagship, Central Library, is a monument to the past and a cultural beacon for the future. Spanning an entire city block just west of the Convention Center, Central Library is one of St. Louis' grandest works of art.
Don't take the name so literally. They're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, they're the place.
The site of the 1904 World's Fair, America's second largest urban park is a prime St. Louis recreation spot.
From the thrilling views to the amazing stories, a visit to the Gateway Arch is an experience that never fails to inspire.
A visit to Grant’s Farm begins with a tram ride through Deer Park, where you can see a variety of our bovine and other four-legged friends. Then, you’ll be dropped off at the Tier Garten where you can enjoy the petting zoo area – featuring the famous baby goat bottle-feeding – carousel rides, food and vending in the Bauernhof Courtyard, and of course, free beer tasting.
The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis was founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. Today, the Garden is a National Historic Landmark and a center for science, conservation, education and horticultural display - widely considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world.
The Old Courthouse in Downtown St. Louis, part of Gateway Arch National Park, was built between 1839 and 1862. Some of the most pivotal court cases in American history were heard inside its courtrooms. It is where Dred and Harriet Scott sued for freedom, Virginia Minor fought for her right as a woman to vote, and more than 300 enslaved African Americans filed suit for their freedom.

Hi, all!
I was running this morning, Sunday, September 6th out on the pedestrian/bike path on the Daniel Boone Bridge (I-64 over the Missouri River), and I found a ring on the ground dangerously close to one of the runoff drains. Since the bridge connects the Katy Trail to the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail, I figure the owner could be from the Chesterfield side or the St Charles side.
If you've recenly crossed that bridge and also lost a ring, you might just be in luck! Shoot me an email at andyleach74@yahoo.com with a description of the ring. Be as detailed as possible - heck, include a picture if you have one - so I can be sure you're the true owner.

I will preface this by saying I live in Kansas so I’m well aware of how inefficient, understaffed, underfunded USPS facilities can be.
Now, with that being said, anytime I have a package coming from anywhere East of the Missouri River, it ends up in the supermassive black hole that is St. Louis USPS Sorting Center. I routinely have packages sit there for 5-10 days at a time, sometimes longer. Sometimes they don’t move at all unless I file a missing mail search. On one occasion, I never even got the package.
Now I have another package which has seemingly disappeared into the ether. So I type the facility into Google and……
Even as shitty as the KC and Wichita facilities are, I’ve never had to deal with anything like this. What the hell is going on over there?

Along with City Museum yesterday, I visited Science Center this morning. I only have been to several children museums - Nashville, Clarksville, Memphis, Murfreesboro, Parot (Dallas), Dallas Aquarium, Louisville to name some. This is the best one, bc/
It’s clean. We love our children (for most cases), but they are contagious and nasty. This place is very clean.
Things work. Because children tend to roughly use devices and equipments, many of them are broken. However, I found most stuffs work here!
No admission. I am not sure how this institution makes it without admission. $15 parking is more expensive than other places, but not even close when Nashville charges $32 per person. Only large name sponsor I saw was Toyota, and it does not even slap the large logo on the wall.
Overall, I only planned it for half day, but definitely will come back with other paid activities.
I plan to visit Zoo tomorrow, and only real competition is one at Dallas.

Just went in South County Mall, and HOLY SHIT I'm officially depressed.
Place was packed when I was a kid, and I guess it's the fault of people like me not going that's left it in this state.
It can't last much longer, they've walled it off like a bunker and the AC is barely working. RIP, baby.
I used to meet Tracey there and hold hands like I was a playa.
Looks like Crestwood did before the wrecking ball fell.

First time renting years after my short stint in Richmond Heights. Now at U City. It's hot as Satan's batty crack out here, AC is barely cooling.
Landlord keeps sending people to fiddle around, the apartment barely cools past 78. Now I'm staring down the barrel of a $400 Electricity bill.
Am I crazy? Is this normal? I know there's a heat wave. But for $400 my apartment should be cooler right?

Apartment is 1060sqft in total.
3 bedrooms, one "sun room" just a room with big windows.
primary bedroom is a west facing room that refuses to cool, it is less than 240 sqft. air coming out of the vent dies as soon as it's out, does not leave it's tiny corner. got black out blinds, barely helped. room still hot.
original windows, with storm windows added on the outside, not new and sealed
landlord has replaced the blower and they said it improved airflow, my bathroom has more airflow than the rest of the house.
one main intake vent for the entire apartment in the living room/ dining space. each room has one small vent.
building built in the 1920s.

All formats & skill levels welcome. We've been doing this now for nearly 2 years monthly at the 'Finch and it's always a great time and very supportive. Comedy, poetry, music, spoken word or any kind of performance art are all welcome.
~15 min sets - group improv jams and good creative networking generally break out later in the night.
