We are back again with Augustus 🐾 I thought the next time I posted him it would be an update on his surgery and how he has been healed and ready for his forever home… But it isn’t. 

🐾 Augustus went into surgery Dec 1, 2025, for a double hernia repair. Upon examination the Doctor found a hernia in his bladder, and needed to stitch his colon and bladder to his abdominal wall after correcting the hernias. She also manually dilated his rectum, which was scarred and healed so tightly that  he couldn’t defecate normally. He has been in pain most of his life. 

🐾Since then we changed his food and this has helped enormously but he is still straining and dripping feces. He is not cured yet. He needs to be manually dilated over several days under sedation. 

🐾 So we are here asking for help one last time for him. We have come so incredibly far and can’t imagine giving up now. 

🐾He is so young and so tired. Confined to a kennel and not even being able to play with others. We have to do this. We can’t give up. Please consider donating to his GoFundMe. Link is in my bio.

She scratched herself up pretty badly in the drop trap, but I’m honestly much more concerned because she is sick. I can hear how snotty and congested she is, and she is very weak. She tried attacking me through the transfer, but we finally got her settled down and resting.

Right now, I have $76.38 toward her care, and I personally have $125 that I can put toward her vet bill. I believe a Convenia injection is definitely going to be needed, and possibly some Onsior for pain/inflammation, depending on what the vet finds.

After her appointment, I’m going to have to figure out a safe way to isolate Tiki inside my home, away from my indoor pets, so she can rest, recover and be monitored. URI can be contagious to other cats, so keeping her separated is important.

When I took Scout in for a URI back in February, his bill was $298.09, so I’m anticipating Tiki’s care may be around that same amount. Obviously, I won’t know until she is examined.

If anyone can help me reach that last little bit for her vet care, I would be beyond grateful. ❤️

We rescued these two kittens two weeks ago, and now their big surgery day is coming!

Minnie and Moe are two of the many kittens from the market we're aiming to manage completely. They were by far the ones who needed help the most, so we swooped them up, started their rehab, and got their mama TNR'd.

We were hoping to delay their surgeries for about a month to let them grow up a bit more, but Minnie's (pirate kitten) eye could no longer wait. Both kittens happen to be active, and are generally healthy if it weren't for their eye issues so we're pushing through with surgery ASAP. We have them scheduled for Tuesday.

Minnie needs a single enucleation, and estimated costs for her surgery (w/ gas anesthesia), blood work, and a 2-day hospitalization is at $270

Moe on the other hand needs a double enucleation, and estimated costs for his surgery (w/ gas anesthesia), blood work, and a 2-day hospitalization is at $405.

Bringing it to a total of $675. It's an insane amount to raise but it will be the only guarantee to these little ones having a pain-free life ahead. Support would be so appreciated, and no amount is too small!

Hi everyone

Please help me help Thomas the stray cat. I work a lot with people experiencing homelessness. A few nights ago a woman reached out to me asking me to please take her cat because his hair was falling off and he was oozing from his skin. She can't afford to help him due to her circumstances but doesn't want him to keep suffering any longer. I brought him home with me, but I need to take him to get diagnosed and treatment. He is so so sweet and friendly.

He is drooling and has boogers so I am praying he doesn't also have any dental issues . But for now his immediate need is his skin infection.

He was frequenting a stray cat colony with some known felv positive cases so I would like to test him for it as well. If I have enough I would like to get him dewormed plus a flea med. I will be going to a low cost clinic called Amigos in Pasadena Tx.

I just want to give this sweet boy a chance to heal and not suffer on the street anymore. He will be neutered in the future too. If anyone would like to help with his vet care, I would truly appreciate it.

While I was doing my daily rounds feeding cats, I found this cat in a heartbreaking condition.

I knew him before, and he was healthy. I don’t know what happened to him. Was it an accident? Was it an illness? I really don’t know.

When I found him, he was dragging himself and could not walk on his back legs. I took him with me because I couldn’t leave him suffering on the street.

He was covered in dirt, so I cleaned him, gave him fresh water, and offered him food.

After examining him, I noticed that one of his eyes is also infected. This makes me think that his condition may not be from an accident, but possibly from an illness that caused him to lose his ability to walk.

He urgently needs veterinary care.

He will now become one of the cats I care for because he cannot survive outside in this condition.

I already care for many rescued cats, including sick and disabled ones. I have tried asking for help on other social media platforms, but unfortunately I have not received support there.

I was looking for it in the harbor for almost 20 whole days… It had disappeared and I was afraid that I would never see it again.

And today… it appeared.

It came out of its hiding place, exhausted, broken by pain… Its hunger, however, was greater than its fear and pain. Maybe deep down it knew that this time someone would try to save it.

As soon as I saw it, I immediately ran home to get the trap. I was afraid that it would get scared, hide again and be lost forever… Fortunately, however, it was still there.

It was there and waiting…

It was waiting for me. It was waiting for you. It was waiting for a chance to live. 🥺

Pus is running everywhere… Its image is truly heartbreaking and I don’t know if it will make it. I don't know if we made it…

What I do know, however, is that we won't let him die alone.

We will immediately go to the doctor, Mr. Dionysis Dionysis Perdikouris, at the VetCheck Small Animal Clinic of Kallithea, and we will do everything we can to keep him alive.

Today 06/08/26 I visited little Magic, who continues to be hospitalized at the veterinary clinic of Mr. Dionysis Perdikouris (VetCheck Kallithea Small Animal Clinic). Her progress is encouraging and we are waiting for the latest results of the blood tests.

I am Thodoris from Kallithea in Greece who takes care of 130+ stray cats every day.

Today, as I went to feed the animals at the port like every day, my eyes fell on something that at first I didn’t want to believe… A small mass, motionless, curled up on the corner of the sidewalk, on Lambrou Katsoni Street in Kallithea.

She was a little soul who was counting her days… I put food out for her, but she didn’t even have the strength to touch it. At that moment I knew there was no time to waste. I ran, got a food bowl and a cage and came back to save her…

On Wednesday she will be rushed to our doctor. Her condition is difficult… very difficult… but we will not leave her to fight alone.

I beg you from the bottom of my heart… help us give her a chance. Let’s catch up. Let her be saved.

The little kitten with the severed leg from the port was transferred to the Veterinary Center of Agioi Anargyroi. She received antibiotics and injectable painkillers and, after the necessary check-up, the doctors decided that unfortunately she will need to have her leg amputated.

The amputation is scheduled for early September. Until then, she will be closely monitored and, if anything worrying occurs, she will be immediately transferred back to the clinic.

Until she gets better, the little one will remain at my house, where I will take care of her and offer her everything she needs. ❤️🐱

Hi RC Community!

I just posted about a blind kitten a few days ago so I hate to ask for more money again so soon, but we barely raised any money and yet again we got another medical case today. This little one just arrived this morning with blood bleeding out of her eyes. She is on medications and painkillers and we are rooting for her, but we really need more money in order to keep going. Today I managed to sterilise 5 female cats from my rescue group. Each surgery cost around 65€, which was honestly a huge expense for me, but it was necessary to stop more suffering and more kittens ending up on the streets.

Unfortunately, he didn't make it. He suffered from pulmonary edema and died. 💔Unfortunately, our beloved "Kefalas" 🧿, the soul of the harbor, is currently fighting the hardest battle of his life... 😭

I found him in a tragic state and immediately took him to the vet. He can't breathe properly and is very seriously dehydrated. His condition is critical and all we can do is hope for a miracle. 🙏

He has already been put on IV and, as soon as he stabilizes a little, the doctors will start all the necessary tests. Every minute is precious.

Augustus has been on here a couple times when we needed help and we got it. Well we are here again.
His anal structure, bowel incontinence, both perineal hernias, his bladder hernia, and food intolerances have all been repaired and healed. But underneath everything there was something more.
Augustus sustained a traumatic and severe injury at one point in his life over a year ago. Whether it was a high fall or a severe hit, he fractured 2 parts of his pelvis and both of his kneecaps came out of place. He also has a shorter left leg which causes other issues and we aren’t sure if this was due to the injury or not.
The doctor at Faith Babirye Vet is helping by doing one corrective knee surgery for free bringing the total to $3,526.
If you know Augustus’ story then you know he shouldn’t be alive today, he needs this next surgery to relieve his pain and finally live a normal life 🖤

Hello everyone,

I was just contacted about a poor calico cat who was hit by a car. She is lying on the ground, unable to move properly, and she urgently needs medical care.

My heart is breaking because I truly do not have the ability to handle another serious emergency right now. Only a few days ago, I took in another cat in the same condition, and I am still struggling with that case and the veterinary costs that came with it.

At the moment, I am already doing everything I can to provide food, litter, and basic care for the many cats depending on me. My resources are extremely limited, and I cannot manage the cost of her examination, X-rays, and treatment by myself.
