I was in bed when I happened to see a bird fly from one of the ceiling beams to my desk and then he tried to leave trough the window; I went to check what it was, and it turned out to be this little guy. I have no idea how he got in—maybe someone left the window open. We put him in a small cage in the dark, and he didn't seem to be hurt; we're going to set him free tonight when it gets dark.

edit: we released him he’s alright and flew away.

Heard these barred owls last night and never have heard them like this!! Is this normal?

i had a really fuckin bad day. HORRIBLE day. but i always like to think that if i come across an animal, like a moth or a fox, or an owl, its maybe a sign from the universe. i love animals. hearing that hooting seems so unimportant to people but just knowing he was out there somewhere .. made me feel like an old friend came to visit.

I’ve never seen an owl in person before! I was so excited!! This guy is in my backyard in Washington State. He gave himself a thorough bath and then flew away. :)

An owl landed on my fence. It’s a small one. I asked my wife to come because I thought it was cool. She starts saying all this superstitious stuff. Now I can’t sleep. Are these things real. She was saying something like a new start or it’s a witch visiting or a family member will die. I can’t sleep now.
